My Newest Tame

"Come back to Dalaran so you can get me the gems for your scope!" my husband nagged.

"Just hold on like...five minutes!" I whined. "I'm going to do just one circle and then head back, it won't take long at all."

I turned my bronze drake towards Zol'Maz Stronghold and kept a keen eye on Beast Tracking. My heart sank a little when all the map revealed was a bear resting at the bottom of the stairs. I continued southeast to the opposite side of the stairs near the Altar of Mam'toth, and was greeted by trolls atop their bats. Frowning, I headed south of the Altar of Quetz'lun and steered my bronze drake through the trees that peppered the snowy landscape. Plenty of snow leopards stalked about, but still no Gondria. Now perhaps pouting a bit by this point, I pursued my route southwest, to the fields just east of Kolramas. Har'koa's cursed offspring skulked, their red eyes studying me as my drake glided past. Gondria was still nowhere in sight. Sighing now, I made my way northwest back to Zim'Torga, to take the flight path back to Dalaran to meet with my husband. Red dots sprinkled my mini-map, and I started to artfully guide my bronze drake through the thorny bushes, when, to my excitement, a yellow dot appeared on my mini-map in a place there should be none! It was Gondria!!! I swiftly landed and abandoned my wind serpent, Blaze (I love wind serpents but my craving for a new hunt was too strong to ignore, and none of my other pets can be released). I placed my freezing trap, opened up with a concussive shot, and began the tame. Crap, I'm too far behind the trap, she's going to pounce right over it! Sure enough, she did. But somehow, the trap still triggered and she landed in a solid block of ice right on top of me. The seconds ticked by at a grueling pace, but finally, that great purple tiger was mine! As soon as the tame was complete, we were attacked by two snow leopards, which my new friend and I quickly dispatched.

Now, I know they say Loque'nahak has an awesome roar, and he does, but Gondria's roar is equally beautiful! She doesn't have a typical cat noise, it's a long, echoing kind of roar and it's very neat. While I'm almost ashamed to say it, Gondria is very quickly becoming my favorite spirit beast. Loque'nahak is very neat, I don't want to take anything away from him, but there are still oddities about him that bother me a little sometimes (the gaping mouth, the very deep chest, I don't really like the color teal, etc.). But Gondria...she's a beauty. I love the color purple, I love the swirly substance that dances off her back, I love the puddles she leaves on the ground as she steps, I love her roar, and I love her glowy green eyes. I don't even like the translucent animals for the most part but I'm falling in love with this one. She clicks with me in a way that Loque'nahak has not.

She only took I think three nights to find, totalling maybe half an hour. I made one circle each night, perhaps two last night, and that was it. I wasn't really hunting for her, and I wasn't going to camp, it was more of a curious search (that had been becoming more of an obsession than I was willing to admit, and left to my own devices, I probably would have found myself camping her soon enough).

I haven't thought of a name yet, but I'm working on it. And, here is a pic of my new spirit beast! Tamed at roughly...crap...12:30-12:40 a.m., somewhere in there. That makes it possibly 12 hours after server maintenance? /shrug Like I said, I wasn't paying attention to details.

MASSIVE CONGRATS :D

As for a name, she strikes me greatly as a beast that could do very well as Tetsusaiga's mate or something along that line of thinking...<3

Another one for the Gondria-club! Very good, I've been pretty much alone since I kicked out Veph. *Glares at the traitor*

Awesome pet! Mine is named Spectre (Stereoptic's is named Wisp). Veph's suggestions are much better then anything I could come up with tough, so I'ma be quiet.

Hehe, congrats! Although I will say, I really do like Gondria, also like Loque... a big part of leveling another hunter was to have that one be able to tame Gondria... does that put me in two clubs at once?

Gratz! I Love Gondria. She was my first spirit beast and will always hold a special place in my heart. Believe it or not, I get more whispers asking about her than I do about Loque and Skoll combined. So... who are you going to look for next? lol

heh, congrats. I also love Gondria's roar, I just can't savor it like Loque's as his roar always seems to overpower everything. From the screech of fire and ice sfx to the roars of dragons. Nothing can swamp out Loque's roar.

Nothing.

Not even Arthas I bet.

I adore Gondria's roar but it seems so softer, and harder to hear when i'm in a dungeon. Sure i hear it when solo and I love it, but never really in a dungeon :<

wow grats ! She looks like a ghostly cheshire; why didn't you show her to me when I saw you? or was that prior?

Eee, she's so pretty! Gah, wish I had room for her again. >.<

I think Shikon is the perfect name! I've been watching the newest Inuyasha series lately (plus I've always loved the show), so that's the first thing that came to mind after Saturo mentioned Tetsusaiga. :3

When I saw you, I was en route to Zul'Drak and hadn't tamed her yet. I did fly by Bor's Breath afterward looking for you but you weren't there. :( It's ok, I'm sure we'll run into each other in Dalaran sometime. :)

Edit: To answer a few questions - as of right now I don't have any other creatures in my sights. I'm not going to look for Skoll til Tilo finds him (if I look for him at all, I'm not crazy about the color blue).

I was actually thinking of releasing Dante because I don't feel that I need two spirit beasts and I like Shikon so much more. I'm thinking of trying my hand at arena sometime soon so I'll have to look for a pvp pet. Currently I have Apollyon, Tetsusaiga, Sheldon, Dante and Shikon. I'm not getting rid of Apollyon, Tetsusaiga, Sheldon or Shikon, so.....that only leaves one option. :( I was thinking of going and getting Surge (my crazy yellow silithid) back. I kinda miss his antics and he was fun in pvp, even though his size and color made him stick out like a sore thumb.
