I won't rant and rave like my previous posts, but I'll just say that I had a hunter friend really wanting Skitterflame (not the common skins, he has a thing for rares only) and Skitter happened to pop. My friend was so excited and we raced over there. I helped him and drop traps, letting him run his little butt off (he was a goblin, so he was little!) and then alliance comes up and decides they wish to kill him instead of letting the poor goblin tame him. He was already in the middle of the tame when a human paladin decides to hammer of justice him, messing him up. She also somehow pulls aggro and dies, which somehow causes Skitter to evade. To make a long story short, the alliance people there eventually managed to pull him from my goblin friend and killed him.

I know his skin is common, but that gives them no right to do that if someone was actively wanting to tame it. If there was no one there, by all means, kill away. No one would care, but this gobby really wanted him. I took some anxiety meds today to avoid feeling any anger if stuff like this happened so I just apologized to the goblin, told him we'd get him another day, and we walked away. If its any consolation, I did help the goblin tame Deth later on, which is much rarer and actually unique, so he ended up happy, along with me, rehoming another pet.

He's still dying for Skitterflame though, so if anyone from Runetotem reads this, please don't kill Skitterflame. Let my friend have a shot. If he fails, then do as you wish.

I know exactly how you friend feels. I have had Skitterflame killed on my 2 times now while i was trying to tame. There are douche bags every where now a days.

Being a zombie on anxiety meds makes my posts much less entertaining and my time spent on Molten Front slightly less boring, because staring at the screen really doesn't seen too bad.

It's all about the challenge of the tames! I've always tried to add twist to tames rather than just trap/tame lol

Skitterflame spawned this morning and my guildie knew I was a crazy rare collector so he told me, I came over with the intentions to tame him but my guildie thought we were killing him. Pretty disappointing that Skitter never got a home, but I tried to make him feel guilty about it and it worked

Wow.. really? "omgosh your the rare collector right?! a rare is up!" oh I thought we were killing it? cause yes rare collectors do that.. we.. kill em.

Some people do kill rares for the 'challenge' (I had one shaman tell me in general while I was hunting madexx he liked to kill them and take screenshots of himself by the corpse. Seemed kinda odd to me, but people are strange) or hopes for loot. Aaand some people just do it because they can.

These new rares, I MIGHT understand a non-hunter wanting to see if he/she could do the challenge and kill it, but Madexx? A lvl 83 in greens could kill him. /facepalm

I figured that if I tell people in threads like these, lots of people will see it and there will be fewer mishaps in the future (not that your thread was a mishap!). Sorry for the confusion!

Seems like that happens everywhere. Yesterday I finally found Kirix and tamed him and I eagle eyed over to see if Dethy was up and he was! So I raced my little goblin feet over to meet him and start kiting him. However, the Alliance in that area we NOT having it! So they decided they were going to kill me over and over again. A few other hunters saw my struggle and tried to help me, but they too were killed quite often. It was basically a slaughter! So, it seemed that everyone in general decided to not even let the Alliance that were so unfair, tame Dethy and it was a basic raid to kill Deth'tilac before anyone could think twice about taming.

It's unfortunate, but at least I got one of my spidies.
