Taming this cat has been hell. First spotting I had of him was of someone else taming him. Then a few days ago, I got my first chance.

I stripped down and attempted to tame him. Some time or another my equipment manager settings got messed up and I wasn't fully armor-less (and was over eager to get the tame that I didn't notice) so he killed me. I flew back, healed up and tried again. Random mob aggro'd on me this time, and I died again. By the time I made it back the second time, someone else had him.

Tuesday, I received a tell from a friend saying that Anhka has up. I happened to be in the area doing dailies so I flew over to take a look. Many people were observing, so I landed, stripped (fully this time) and while I was making my way safely to him, someone else swooped in and attempted to tame. Dork was fully clothed, and Anhka killed him right away. He continued patting around, and as I landed to get the tame off, another hunter once again landed to tame. Thinking I'd missed my chance, cause the hunter was stripped and seemed to know what he was doing, I watched sadly as the hunter attempted to tame him. Accidentally pulling another mob as I had the other day, he feign death to keep from dying but once he jumped up the attempt to tame again the mob aggro'd again and killed him.

I'd been holding my breath what felt like the entire time .... I finally had my chance. Making my way in, I started taming him and succeeded. I <3 this little guy ... /swoons

Congrats! I just got my Ankha today too

w00t! Congrats-- I think that the wait for my own Ankha was one of the two LONGEST camps I have ever done in my life; but they are worth it, aren't they? ::

Ugh, I vowed not to camp Ankha after all the time I spent camping Skarr. I spent a week camping Skarr, with like 10 other hunters. And I'm positive he always spawned right after I was forced to leave the computer. I even had one very kind hunter remember my toons name and send me a tell the next time I logged on to rub in that he spawned 5 mins after I logged.

So I gave up on camping that damn cat, and the very next day I was over on the Molten Front doing dailies when my NPC scanner went off, I ran up there and what do I find -- SKARR sitting there without a soul around. I almost wanted to kill him (but not really) and to top it off I died the first attempt at taming him, ran back and still no none there and tamed him. God, that pet pissed me off >_<
