We're finally getting some real news about the Cataclysm expansion! Although I admit I didn't expect to hear about something like fishing first, but still ... very exciting! Especially for pet-crazy hunters.

Storing dead fish in bags or bank vaults is smelly. And nobody can see your rarest catches. Fish tanks allow anglers to keep their rarest catches alive - and gain rewards from doing so. They also let other people see precisely what rare fish you have caught!

The aquarium finally brings the best of "social fish-gaming" to Azeroth.

But, this does remind me of what Blizz was originally kicking about. Making fishing a bit more like erf, Animal Crossing or whatever? Was a while back but. Mayhaps they are changing it but well obviously most likely not this.

Seems like a bizarre, ungainly Facebook type game. Which I hate and my farm or whatever always dies. It has to be a joke. I hope.

If you mean The Sea Turtle will also grow, gradually improving the Turtle's swim speed - eventually reaching 310% swim speed. The Sunken City of Vashj'ir is entirely underwater, so an "ultra-fast" turtle could be very useful. And will only take half a year of flawless fish-feeding to gain... Specfically then no, no it really wouldn't be to far fetched. Why?

Christ, I hope it's a joke... Do we realy need something like this in the game.. Isn't dalaran abit crowded as it is, if everyone is dragging an aquarium around with them.. Just alittle too much!!!

OK, I can see the merit of "growing" the turtle...but daily feeding....that would end in tears for me. I can't even keep Farmville alive!

Well, it's pretty much definately a joke. Noone else has mentioned it, and besides, El always runs a little April Fools joke... Example being the Gnobbles last year.

Careful as you go, guys. I've been to El's twice in the last week and my virus software snagged a nasty both times.

El's Extreme Anglin' and Warcraft Pets are Petopia's official sister fishing and minipet sites (respectively), so I wanted to highlight what they did for the holiday -- especially since I almost never bother with anything myself.

Wish I could handle Linux, but I'm fairly computer-impaired. I view my move to Firefox as progressive

Anyhoo, I looked at my Avast file and the virus seems to stem from a banner ad with a UK centre of origin, so I'm not sure how that works in terms of region. Do peeps in America and Europe see different ads?

I was amazed to get dinged twice, as I thought El must know about it by now, but evidently she doesn't. I've been a member on El's forum since ye olde days as well, so I'll have a sort through my e-mail and see if I have an address I can alert her on.

Ah, I always have all ads disabled, so perhaps that's why nothing suspicious ever popped up from El's for me.
