Ok guys and Gals,

Just curious to see what you come up with. I need a name for Skoll. Have been tempted to just leave his name but ::shrug:: maybe if nothing else seems to fit.

Anyhoo....

Normally I go for the mythic names, names in literature or names that are unique but still have a meaning that fits. Also I don't USUALLY tend to go for the popular mythic names (ie: Thor, Odin, Loki..etc)

Lets see...just to give you an example I have (across a couple of toons):

Dante and Faust (Corehounds)
Caliban (Pridewatcher)
Samedi (Rabid DB Polarbear)
Midas (Durotar Tiger)
Wraith and Amiir* (Ghost Sabers)
* Drow for "Beautiful Death"

Anyway. Also this pet is slightly different since he was tamed on April Fools so I was toying with also naming him something to do with the holiday or jesters in general.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance :-)
Lee

Here's some tricksters from Mythology of various cultures. I won't list all of their descriptions, but I figure if a name catches your eye you can Wikipedia it. :)

Wakdjunga
Azeban
Juha
Kitsune
Ivan the Fool

ok guys. Have a new name...I think...for Skoll. As much as I like Jester, my Finacee suggested a name which makes perfect sense...especially since I am a gamer and the RPG closest to my heart is WoD.

So his name is Ragabash and I named Loq Djinn

Thanx everyone for the ideas. Will be using some of them in the future
:-)

Why Clopin?
Because I have a love of Disney movies.
Doesn't help that I'm biased as well; I love Clopin's character to bits.

Clopin! :D I haven't watched that movie in years. I think we've got a cassette of it somewhere, gathering dust. The version Harpier's talking about is from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. I think his outfit is supposed to be based a on a jester, but I can't recall if he actually was one, or was just a performer. I haven't read the actual book the movie was based on, so I'm not entirely sure what he was like in it. Oh, and this is what Disney's version looks like:

He was more evil/dark in the book version. But you know how Disney makes their characters act like they're high on life.
I have the video of the movie, but not the VCR to play it. :( Mine doesn't have one, it only has a DVD player, which means I can no longer watch Nightmare Before Christmas either.
