I'm doing my dailies...and spot him up.
There's hunters around, but they don't seem to be trying.
I lay an ice trap...and a hunter runs through it with enemies in tow.
This repeats several times, with some hunters trying to simply tame him without a trap, and lots of feign death and killing of that single fire hawk by myself.
Eventually there's a break...ice trap, wait for cooldown...ice trap...he gets to 20 energy exactly...but the buff didn't go away, i'm panicking, moving back, trying to get away while I wait for my trap to cooldown...
I lose aggro during this and some people started attacking him...but stopped after a bit...try to get it back...after he runs after other people and I chase him down...he has run over my previous trap and has very little energy.
I get aggro back...and halfway through my tame, he runs into another hunter's trap, I think...and runs out of energy and dies...

I know your pain....i saw Skitterflame die this mourning because of 2 to 4 hunters fighting over him. The trap part is to long to try just use scare beast and then tame.....it is what i had to do to get him with out and douches killing him while i tamed.

aww im sorry. I wish people would learn to take turns instead of trying to steal..
oh its 18% energy, try using 2 freezing traps and 1 ice trap and that is more then enough to get him. Youll get him next time!

Yep with the scare beast, I trapped casted scare beast then immediately tamed, worked like a charm.

Curzon SkitterFlame is up right now. He is siting there waiting for a loving home but i am sure not for long on are sever..../sigh

He is still up...He ripped a couple of peoples faces off too.

Got him this time.

Unfortunate; almost as unfortunate that one of the most enjoyable tame of the new challenges is a common skin.

Scare beast and then tame. Works! Had a new hunter pal do it and then pass it on to me. Got two Skitters this way.

That may work for now but I honestly had a lot of fun doing the challenge. It may also get hotfixed one of these days.
