Meet Ruary...

Meet
Ruary Freyfeather of the Wildhammers and her hatchling gryphon Mealla.

She's a wee lvl 34 right now and I'm having trouble coming up with dwarf-feeling pets for her. Her main buddy is Grimm, a.k.a. Old Cliff Jumper, who does feel 'right' and properly 'dwarfy' but I can't come up with other really dwarfy pets besides bears which I'm not the biggest fan of. Picked up a raging agam'ar (Krogan) and a Pogeyan (Taal) but again, they don't feel properly dwarfy to me. Was wondering if you all would have any suggestions.
Thanks, and come visit us on Moonguard!

A boar or a bear would do nicely, since both are running around Dun Morough. Especially the bear and any of the colors would do nicely even the diseased ones.
Also an eagle, since you are of the Wildhammer clan. I know it's a bit of a stretch to a gryphon but the golden eagle would go nicely I think.

Bear!
I'd definitely try a bear. There are bears in nearly every zone that dwarves are in. This might not quite fit for you for an RP toon, though, if you're going for Wildhammer, pretty much all they have out there are wolves, gryphons, spiders and turtles.
but I see bears as one of the most dwarvish pets of all, so I vote for that.

Or, as the previous poster said, an eagle.

Wildhammer clan, not a big fan of bears, go birds, any kind of birds, try em all, if you dont like the flapping then maybe try a fox or maybe a turtle (not gonna say wolf since you have OCJ but wolves work well too)

As dwarves always seem to be digging something up, whether for archaeology or mining, pets like serpents, spiders, beetles, scorpions, shale spiders, and worms seem appropriate. And if they make the mistake of digging Too deep (as they often do), then you can get pets like silithids, silithid wasps, core hounds, and spirit beasts. Being explorers, taming exotic animals like devilsaurs also seems right to me.

I'd say the
brown or the
red fox. Either would go great!(:

For that matter, the grey fox Ashtail from Loch Modan -- that's a Dwarven area, so appropriate. Crocs work for dwarves to me, too -- low to the ground, strong, stubborn!

Thanks for all the great suggestions folks! Picked up a golden eagle first named Zonn

and I'm in love with him. Tried out Chitter but couldn't connect with our special little spider and released him into the wild. Grabbed a red fox named Tanz

who's seriously growing on me, he matches Ruary's hair! A blonde condor named Morn

also joined the stable and I'm really digging him. Also got a red mastiff, Varak,

kinda iffy on him so far. I'm really liking the birds with her and think that's a great theme to stick with for a Wildhammer!
Still looking for a good tenacity pet though. I'm really liking the red colored pets but can't find one that's quite right so far. Wish me luck!

Try a boar. They're squat, noisy, beligerent, ferocious when cornered, they'll eat anything...if that doesn't say 'Dwarf', what does?
