New Modem=horrid connection

okay so my mom decided to switch over to a comcast business class modem when our old one was just fine and ever since the instalation web pages take up to 4 minutes to fully load and WoW has a high latency which makes it hard to do anything...in fact as i write this and submit it anyone here could have refreshed the page 30 times.

is this normal for new modems or should i get them to call comcast and fix it?

I've never had problems like that by switching modems. Well, except for Telia. But then again, constant connection problems are normal with them.

(Telia Smart? Hah! Telia Moron is a more accurate term...)
