Can WMV get you banned from WoW?

I have asked this several times before, but can WMV get you banned? I'd like to use it to make signatures for Petopia, nothing else, but I'm in no mood to get my account banned. Petopia, will using WMV for the reason above get me banned from WoW?! Please help!!!

By using WMV you're just viewing the in-game files about as allowed as datamining, which is to say, it's ok.
What gets you banned is by changing those in-game files, especially model-swapping (you know, making those elementium nodes huge hitbox and BRIGHT GREEN or something, or doing the same to that WSG flag)
Anyway, it's "D. modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard; " in the TOS.

Honestly, all I want to do is upload character models and put them in the gear that people requested for. Will doing that get me banned? I don't want to change anything in game.

No, making signatures with it is okay. It wont change anything ingame.

Okay, I just don't want to get banned... I got my Flameward Hippogryph today and I'm not in any rush to lose it... :l

as long as you aren't making money off of making people some sigs then you're fine. id say half of the entire player base uses wmv for various reasons.

As would Mania, for that matter. Petopia pet images are all made using it

Cool, thanks. Also here is the main thing I heard: WMV is fine ... As long as you don't edit anything IN-GAME! You can dress the models up in armor and stuff but putting the edited models in game is a huge no-no. Correct?
