7 rares in the past few days!

I've had no luck at all with the 4.2 rares, but it seems that the universe has made up for that in other ways. I spent level 84 leveling in Uldum so that I could fly around Madexx's spawnpoints here and there between quest turn-ins. I was about to give up even trying, since there were so many people questing in his area (it was always full of dead pink scorpids!), but decided to try once more... and there he was 
Green version! I was ecstatic, since green is my favorite color (blue being a close second).
So after taming my Madexx, I really started to rush to get to 85 because I couldn't wait to get Ghostcrawler. At 97% of my level, I headed to Vashj'ir to complete the quests required to get my seahorse and dinged 85. I headed out to the abandoned reef and was only there a moment before NPCScan went off! ...for a freshly tamed Ghostcrawler
His new hunter friend told me that she had just found and tamed him mere seconds before my arrival. I congratulated her and hearthed. It was 6am already (I hadn't slept) and had I been able to tame GC, I'd have just gone to bed. But now I was full of adrenaline and disappointment so I decided to go check out Twilight Highlands for Karoma.
I flew around her spawn points a few times but had no luck. That was when I remembered the cat Sambas... I'd never been super fond of his look but decided to check anyway. To my surprise, he was up! I quickly abandoned the trash pet I had on hand and tamed him, and found myself to actually be quite enamored with his model as he stood next to me!
Still on a bit of an adrenaline kick I decided to swing by Hyjal to look for Terrorpene (I looked for him repeatedly from 81-82 when I was questing in the zone, but never found him). As soon as I flew over the lava, NPCScan yet again blared! At 85 he was the simplest tame - I hardly took any damage at all (though I had used the resistance flask and haste potions I'd been carrying just for him). Finally tired, I went to sleep.
Since Ghostcrawler had been tamed at 6am my time and I had read that rares can spawn in as little as 6 hours, I was up and ready just before noon. I traveled along his path with no sign of him. But a short two hours later I found the whispy little crab! He had respawned exactly 8 hours after I had found him tamed, so I can confirm that his spawn timer can be as short as that!
The next day I looked for Deth'tilac as soon as servers came up after maintenance, and logged into her spawn point to find another hunter there whom I had seen yesterday. I asked how long he'd been looking, and he said he'd been trying to get her for 4 days - and had seen her spawn 4 times only to have his tame stolen or the spider killed. I felt bad for the guy and told him that I had no interest in doing the same to him. I headed out, and it occurred to me that Jadefang might be a nice pet to have.
I didn't have access to the Deepholm dailies, so I had a friend come out and see if the needed daily was up. It was, and he gladly boosted himself up to her ledge and guild-summoned me in. I sat and waited for her to spawn for about 3 hours when at last she appeared. I easily tamed her, and she is quite pretty! I named her Meep. (Sidenote: I had myself summoned up again before I logged off, and when I logged in the next morning for work, she was up again and no hunters were waiting for her, so I killed her for my Mini-Meep )
All the while, I had been repeatedly checking for Karoma. Still no luck. (The other night an alliance hunter was clearly waiting for her to spawn, and was shooing me away, obviously worried that I would steal the tame. I emoted her good luck and carried on with my business.) I checked again last night when I got home, and the alliance hunter was no longer there (I assume she either got the pretty spirit wolf or gave up), but neither was Karoma. I decided to check out STV for Pogeyan, who was up! I named him Punch.
I logged out last night in Ban'thalos' spot to check for him this morning before work, but he wasn't there. Neither were the two spectral cats. So on a whim, I headed back out to Twilight Highlands... and almost fell out of my seat when NPCScan detected Karoma!! I quickly dismounted, dismissed my pet, and before I knew it she was mine I can't wait to get home and play with her! I think she might be my favorite spirit beast yet, despite my historic dislike of the wolf models.
TL;DR: Green Madexx, Sambas, Terrorpene, Ghostcrawler, Jadefang (twice!), Pogeyan and Karoma all came home between Tuesday morning and Thursday morning for me! Sambas, Terrorpene and Karoma all still need names but hopefully I'll come up with proper ones soon
