Big Congradulations to new pet owner!

First off I wish to congratulate someone out there for their successful taming of Deth'tilac today at 10:55am CST. Also a big shout out thanks to those who helped her.
During the tame a thought occurred to me and I am curious what other hunters in the community think. I arrived and attempted to tame the big bad spider at around 10:35am CST and wound up dieing not to him but to the random fire druid and flame spider poison spit. At that time only a dwarf shaman seemed willing to help with the tame, but nobody else tried to do anything. Which as this is a game with alot of people from different view-points I sorta expected. I was still grateful for the shaman's willingness to try and help. After he reset the other hunter who had been watching me attempt to kite Deth around went in for a try. During her attempt, the shaman, myself, I believe another or more hunter(s), a random orc Death Knight, and a helpful Boomkin made an all out effort to help her; clearing adds, and helping to dps the big bug down to be tamed. After this was accomplished there was the normal cheers from the majority who helped for her on the success of the tame. Now I can't lie after working hard solo almost with only the shaman to help me in my attempt, and her and others just standing around only to see a huge out pour of help for her attempt I am less than happy about the event but still wish her the best. I do wonder does the type of toon make a different? or is it something else? what makes people not lift a figner to help at on moment but the next they jump into the fray like the hero in a movie action scene? I know why I helped her; she was a hunter the same as me. Even though she did nothing to help me on my attempt I felt as a hunter to another I needed to help on hers.
At the end she had her spider; and did apologize to me saying she felt bad she got it when I had attempted to tame him first and died due to random poison. I was down one devilsaur, one shale spider, and one random fire spider I tamed during her attempt to get it off her. So I hope I'm not to out of line for feeling a little bitter about the event. Right now though I'm more curious then anything. What makes people hunters or any other class help out others at one point and then just sit and watch the next?
Anyways hope to hear from the rest of you.
Edit: Sorry >< My mistake, edited out the mistake. Do I need to move this or delete it?
