After I finally give up on her, after 2 years of camping and wanting her, someone in my channel says King Krush is up. I don't care about him, but someone else does and rushes out there. About 2 hours later, I'm bored, I figure I might as well see if she's up, just in case. Starkittens begs to come along. I fly to Sholazar and summon her baby hunter to me. She Eagle Eyes over to one spawn point and GODDAMMIT THERES AOTONA! Thank you so much Starkittens for finally ending 2 years of camping. I had to drop Castiel, but I liked his model so much that I might drop Olm or a Madexx (since I have 2) and tame him again. I DID name Aotona Castiel though, so all is not lost! Castiel just reincarnated into a blue parrot! OMG I CANT BELIEVE IT!

Congratulations! I camped nearly 6 weeks straight for Aotona. She's a very sneaky bird but I <3 her.

Wow congrats!! I was browsing the hunter forums today and saw your post asking if she even spawns anymore haha I tamed her once and let her go, and after kicking myself for it I tamed her again. This was mid-wotlk, but surprisingly the other hunters on my server seemed to be unaware of her existence. I camped about 8 hours total for her (both times combined), and have only seen ONE other hunter on my server with her. (I named mine Pirate.)

I'm really happy for you She is the loveliest parrot of all (though original Castiel's model is a close second for sure!).

Now Castiel has purple feathers. <3

No! The green is getting tamed again. I'm gonna drop Olm or Red Madexx (Haven't decided which, I have my REAL Madexx, the green one, and he's enough, so the rusty red can go free if I decide not to drop Olm) and tame green and yellow again. I loved his model so much and got so many "OMG WHERED YOU GET THAT BIRD!" from him in Molten Front. Everyone knows Aotona. No one knew where my gorgeous green one came from, so I'll tame him again! Its just deciding who to drop. If I drop Olm, I can prolly tame him again easily later. No one ever camps there and its a rarely traveled zone, and I never use Olm, so he's prolly best to drop. I see lots of people REALLY wanting rust red Madexx, so I am not sure I want to drop him yet.

Hmm....No. But I don't like Olm either. So its a toss up. Rust red Madexx is wanted. Olm is just a "oh, if its there I'll get" tame. Not a mob people seek out like Madexx. I ended up dropping Olm.

My red Madexx is named Noonetamedme and I woulda felt bad!

Could always rename him to Someonetamedme. Hee! Definitely sounds like you made the right call, at any rate.

I will have three Madexxes once I get blue. AND I WILL! I'll summon Starkitten, my luck charm, to Uldum, and blue will just pop up right there! Never getting rid of my old world worg with the sword in his head, cuz they might fix that bug, and then he'd be REALLY rare.

I have never seen her or King Krush until now. King Krush as a pet, yeah, but never Aotona. I was wondering if Cata wiped her off the map! I have not once seen King Krush in the wild. Nor do I care to. I'm done in Sholazar, finally.
