Deth'tilac!!

Well after the last few days I thought my luck was well in. Last night I saw Deth'tilac had spawned but there was already a nelf hunter taming it, so I helped by using my pet and throwing down traps and he got the tame. My final good deed of the night was when I was flying over Grizzly Hills on my mage who is my main char my npc_scan went off and Arcturis was up. I must've whispered 15 hunters and none of them wanted him, then a guildy logged on who I asked then respecced BM to get him. Happy days :D

So I log on this afternoon checked for Deth'tilac no sign so I went afk for a cup of tea and some cookies when I heard npc_scan going off and i'm like amg don't panic! I start the kiting then along comes a nice shammy who helps me burn him down to 20% and I get my tame, was so happy.

Just buzzing woohoo!!!

Thanks very much, just helped someone get Banny using my mage heh. I really enjoy helping other hunters get these pets.

Awesome Karma!
I sat watching Deth, and a troll hunter came up to tame him while I was taking a few screen shots of him. For a second, I thought maybe the troll might've thought I wanted Deth for myself, but then I dismissed my Spirit Beast (Ban'Thalos, aka "Michael"), and whipped out MY tamed Deth'tilac, then waved at him. I come from a pretty aggresive PVP server, and normally I would've engaged in a battle with this other hunter, but I have a soft spot for people taming creatures, even those of the opposite faction, so I stepped aside, and waved at the troll.
After about an hour and a half of watching the fail Hunter troll (Professor something or other) NOT secure the tame, I tossed around the idea of killing it (the Hunter, not the Spider), but I saw that Deth was doing such a fine job of doing that already, I thought it would be over-kill.
Did I help this Hunter, instead of just watching him? Well, being that he's horde, I really didn't want to help it. He's lucky that I did throw a couple of ice traps to help slow Deth down, but that's it!
I hate the hored!
Later, the Troll had some help from a Rogue and a mage.
Still a fail Hunter, with no tame after 20 minutes of their help.
After 2 hours of watching this terrible Hunter, I realized that some Hunters, regardless of faction, don't deserve such an epic tame.

Some people just aren't as fmiliar with kiting, or didn't really research how to do it, but that doesnt mean they don't deserve the pet as much as others. I can understand your point of view, but I helped people get pets that seemed like they bought their hunter char on ebay, and they might have reasons to be unskilled, or not having a clue how to tame something, but they still love their new pets and might not have any other chance to get them than with help.

I have to say I agree, just because they are not awsome at kiteing or dont know the fight (some hunters really havent ever heard of this site..thought I try to share it with as many as I can) doesnt mean they dont desurve it. Hateing the other faction is fine but I will still help out allies with a tame or just leave them alone and let them tame it in peace. Our server is nasty pvp too but some hunter to hunter profesional friendlyness doesnt hurt.

*SO* much This ^^

I have a few glaring disabilities that limit my gaming experience. Due to them, I do not raid, and rarely do instances with others-- its not fair forcing them to carry me, in my opinion. When the patch dropped, I LUSTED over Ban'Thalos; no freaking WAY was my arthritis and other issues going to let me have the pinpoint concentration needed to sit in a tiny point on a tree for that tame.

I was lucky-- Jessebelle and a few others learned of my birdy lust, and pretty much helped walk me through the tame. On my own, never EVER would happen. But my Banny (Odyssey) is one of my most beloved pets. I use him often... and oh, by the way, I **do** deserve him.

I've since helped both alliance and horde tame both Anhka and Magria, amongst others-- they might be in my shoes, or worse, and THEY deserve the pets they desire too...
