UI Wanted!

I'm looking for something
1) That is customizable
2) Displays your health / energy bars down on the bottom of the screen
3) That is easy to set up, e.g. it's just one folder that you throw in your addons folder with the rest
Currently I'm using Bartender4, which meets 1 and 3, but not 2 - your health / energy still appear up at the top left under the character icon.
In terms of looks, Roth UI seems to meet # 1 and 2, however when I downloaded a copy, it looks like it's got a ton of folders that you have to copy into many different areas - including stuff that goes into each different toon's WTF folders...
Does anyone know of a nice UI that meets all 3?

Have you tried HunterFocusBar? It's a really simple addon that puts a movable Energy Bar on your screen. I bet there's something out there that does the same with a health bar.
I use Dominoes and just moved everything to my liking. Here's my UI:

I like that - do you know if it "plays well" with other frames like Bartender?

I checked out SpartanUI - that one does look promising however if I'm reading correctly the original author abandoned it prior to cata, and since then it's just a test version maintained by fans...?

Yup! And it works wonderfully. I use XPerl to replace their unit frames. Do you want a screencap? Actually you can probably look at my recent post in the taming second(Lisaara's Lovely Tames). I got screenies of ingame tames with my UI. Spartan actually already uses Bartender.

It should work fine with other UI customizations as it's an independent little bar of its own, so you can freely move it alongside the other bars. It definitely works fine with Dominoes which is very similar to Bartender, I just prefer it.

Hmm. Having your target down near the rest of the buttons is a plus - I should've added that as #4!
Where is your pet bar?
Also when you group with people where do they appear? What about raids?

Raids and groups are off to the side. If you get Xperl, you can put em wherever. I keep it all to the left side.
Pet bar is near your aspects and stuff. Would you like a screenie of me with a pet out?

oh that? Mik's Scrolling Battle Text. x3 I luuuurve it. Lets you know your pets taking damage too and tells you when you crit(or if your pet does). Tells you when an ability is up and ready to use.

Ok, so I went ahead and installed SpartanUI; however things look a little "off", and I can't find any options to resize things the way it lets you do in Bartender;
1) It looks like the pet / stance bars are smushed down
2) The default Blizzard "eagle bar" is still there, covering the lower portion of the UI
Did you encounter this or have to do any special setup?
EDIT: Was able to hide the Blizzard art bar from within bartender.
EDIT2: After some more googling I found out the way to expand the stance bar to normal size was /sui popup all

One more setup note for others who may be interested in installing this addon.
In addition to moving everything down low and its customizability, I discovered that spartanui's folders are limited to just the addon folder - I am not dead set against more expansive addons but I always like to start with the simplest approach, so I decided to give this one a try.
I initially got my copy of spartanui from wowinterface, and when I entered the game I had 15 pages of Lua errors (I have my Display Lua Errors setting set to Y (the default is N), so this may be why other spartan users don't see this).
Based on other comments I saw, these errors appear due to the UI being out of date.
So I removed it, did some googling and found an unofficial 4.2 copy here
http://www.healbot.info/article.php?sto ... tanUI-4200 *
After installing that and making the above two adjustments it seems to be working properly.
I haven't done anything else with it yet but am looking forward to giving it a test drive...
*That being said, I just noticed the official spartanui site went down for maintenance a few minutes ago - possibly to upload a new version of the UI, so let's hope!

Tried it out a bit more...
Pros-
1) Centralized bars and minimap. HP, mana, even the casting bar (for myself and my pet) is now down near my hot buttons (as a little bonus it also includes map coords)
2) Layout. Not especially customizable however the UI is already set up in a pretty effective manner, so I didn't mind "going with the flow" here, for the most part.
3) Setup. Everything goes in the addons folder, which was nice. On-screen just a few settings adjustments were needed (expanding the pet bar, hiding the art bar, and reconfiguring the bags bar) to get things neat & tidy.
Cons-
1) With just bartender I was used to having 3 rows of hot buttons on the left side, but spartan only has 2 there (the 3rd appears on the far left in a square arrangement); feels a bit clunky but it's not a major issue.

You should be able to reduce the size of Spartan UI. Here is how I have mine set up.

You get used to it. I put all my traps and random stuff in the left box and kept my main stuff in the two bars on the left. My right bars are my professions, mounts, pots, etc.

My screenshot was taken from my laptop - when my monitor is plugged in it should look like yours.
I'll find out for sure in a few hours...
