Is Skarr and Karkin affected by phasing in the area?

I saw Karkin went to go nearer and he went yet stepped back and there he was again.

I've never had an issue with phasing.

Nope, either you can see them, or you can't. The only thing that MIGHT look like phasing is if you're far away from whichever point they've spawned at and are moving in and out of their range.

Which Molten Front phase are you in?

If you have done the quest to be eligible for the molten front, then you should be able to see them. Thats the only thing I remember reading about the phasing.

Only pet I have ever seen have phasing issues was Gorefang. There were two of him up at once, one on each side of the road.

I've tamed Karkin on a hunter who's done enough quests to unlock the Front then nothing else, so I'm pretty sure he and Skarr are not affected by phasing.

If you are on the quest Into the fire or the forlorn spire all mobs will be phased for you. I know it works for both cause I know kirix was up before I did the into the fire but once I grabbed the quest I no longer could see him, and the same with the spire Deth tilac was up but could not see her until I completed it or abandoned it.
