I had a question regarding my elven DK (alliance) on Moonguard. I was thinking one of two scenarios for him, physically he appears as a Nightelf, but since every DK seems to have gotten a bit dark or pale can my Nightelf be a High Elf who was risen as a DK during the purge by Arthas? Is this too Mary Sue?

Also a second scenario can he be a half elf?

Considering High Elves typically use the blood elf in game form, I'm not sure how that would work. I suppose you could probably pull it off if you really want to stray away from the in game DK storyline. If you're a beginning RPer, I'd recommend going with the storyline already provided.

I also strongly advise against playing a half elf unless you plan to do the boat-load of research it takes to play a half elf properly.

I'd really really advise against it, whenever I see people try to do this kind of thing on Moon Guard or WrA they're laughed at constantly-- it is quite mary sueish, and only the most experienced of RPers should attempt playing non-playable races, imo.
