Hehe anyone have some advice? How to act wile camping a rare pet, or mount for that matter!
How long u should camp everyday and all that? As i am doing now, im camping Magria And Ankha, so i really need something to do in the meanwile!

I think Bejeweled is on Curse. I used to obsess over that game. I usually pop over to YouTube to watch some videos to keep me entertained. =D That or I'll write/draw random stuff. \o/

WoWMatrix has it.

Play another game, Listen to remixes, watch youtube videos, or something to do with mlp. mostly the last one xD

I either Read a Book with headphones on to listen for NPC Scan, Draw in the same manner, or watch Anime online. A couple of times Ive played little mini-flash games online that I can play while keeping WoW open and running.

I just have WoW running in windowed mode in the background with my speakers turned up, then I go and watch movies, or anime, or read, or browse the forums, etc.

I've been so monumentally bored with the game that pretty much all I've done lately is camp rares. I just now tamed red Madexx and that completes my list... now what do I do?!

If you run a dual-monitor setup, it's easy. Watch youtube or putter around on the internet in the other monitor. Me, I have a 23" monitor, so I run WoW in windowed mode (with sounds enabled in the background, but not in-game music) and then I just watch different TV series either on Netflix or something I download. Right now, I'm watching Criminal Minds. I just resize my VLC player to not be as big as my screen, so I can hear NPCScan go off and see the flash behind it.

Soo, yea. I sit here and watch shows while camping.

Both Peggle and Bejeweled are on Curse but out-of-date. Be prepared for lua errors.

the Peggle on wowmatrix is up to date I think.

Last time I tried camping I slept and npc scan woke me up. Try that.

I do these sometimes:

• -Read a book
  -RP on forum(s)
  -Enable sounds to be on when tabbed out, and then mess around online or do some WoW Model Viewer or Photoshop work
  -Drawing, writing
  -Chatting in /g or on Vent or whatever
  -Taking a nap right by the computer on the couch
  -Doing whatever in the room close by the computer with NPC scan on, I just tap the spacebar every once in a while to keep from going AFK

These are reserved for either when I'm really bored or I just wanna be on WoW while camping:

• -Review my mount/minipet collection, achievements, reputations, tabards, etc.
  -Mess around with my pets, or go have them run and kill a mob nearby
  -Tame a nearby beast, talent spec it, make it fight, abandon, repeat
  -RP with my pet (this is good because even if you suck at RPing, your pet won't care)

That was kind of my intention XD it's a fun thing to do (sorta >.>), although it gets a bit boring after awhile, since you also have to be your pet >.> "I just know we'll find that dragon soon, Fruitcake!" /e watches Fruitcake nod in understanding.

Although I could see somebody getting a case of schizophrenia if they did that for hours on end...

What I did this last time was talk to everyone else in the rare camping party.(; I also suggest reading. Now, what I like to do is diable the sound in WoW (still have it so sound will go off in windowed mode, though). Then I go to NPCscan and have it set to unmute sound when it goes off! Easy peasy!

I also tend to watch Supernatural when I camp. One thing, though. If you're watching anything online, do the above and keep your sound all the way up. Then, on your show, turn only it's sound as far down as you can while still being able to hear it comfortably. Pause it every once in a while to move yourself a little so you don't log out.

Also, don't tab out. Put it in windowed mode and have it up behind your internet browser. For some reason, NPCscan doesn't always go off when you're tabbed out. This way it will.

One last thing: never, ever, ever bot. It's painfully obvious and if someone else is camping the same thing and sees you doing it, they'll probably report you. Yes, it allows you to sleep and not have to worry about getting logged out. But it's not worth the trouble. Instead, research your timers. If it spawns and you miss it or if you're looking for something like TLPD, Skarr and Karkin, Aeonaxx and the Blood Seeker, or Magria and Ankha, and the wrong thing spawns, sleep and set an alarm for when the next spawn should be. Getting your pet or mount is not worth getting banned over, even if it's only a temporary ban.

I like to read books while camping. I put it in front of my monitor, turn wow-sound on, so I don't miss npc-scan if I'm not looking and read. It helped me a lot while camping for Banny in that stupid tree where you can't even move an inch.

:: See, now I understand you... when I was doing the forever wait for Anhka, I started to lose it... I mean, you're sitting there, basically in your underwear, staring at the same yellow tree, and nasty fallen trees and dirt. And if you're unlucky, no one is around to yammer with.

With me, Arisia began losing her mind and doing elaborate "luck" rituals... I made a fire, put out the rag dolls I have, danced around them, did a lot of "/e sings a song to the blue doll in the hopes that it coaxes Ankha out of hiding" and of course a full litany of "/e gets out fluffy Anhka pillows with their name embroidered on them, fills heaping Anhkatreat bowls and makes sure there is a large silver bowl topped off with water"

Not sure if anyone else saw any of this, but it amused me, at the least, and took up some time. ;D
