To distract from all the sad stories I'm here with a happy story to share!

This is Benevolentia and myself



Why is she so special? Obviously she was formerly Ban'thalos but thats not why I believe she is the very incarnation of what she is named for. Benevolentia is the latin word for kindess and I'll tell you why shes named as such. I was questing for Guild Rep and doing fireland dailies in Hyjal when I see this go up in general - paying 400g for help taming Ban'thalos - I think to myself well.. I didnt really WANT the owl but let me go see and watch what happens get a good look at her in the wild. I fly over there and hes on top of the tree; I decide to hover next to it and watch.. I decide I'll give it a shot but not until hes done. He tries and fails and I try to land on the tree as the other hunter disappears. 5 or 6 agonizing tries later and I'm shaking and about ready to freak because people are gathering and hovering around the tree all targeting Banny. And then I get this whisper.. "You can do it, get your head in it spacegoat. I'm here to help ya." I get bubbled and renewed and I see a human priest behind me and he whispers me again "Go on, try again. Your not giving up." I land again and omg I'm on the tree! Drop my frost trap and I hover up and shoot Banny and fall praying I land on the tree and I do! Banny is frozen and my tame starts and the other players close in.. then I realize that their cheering for me! /cheer's and /go's and /clap's are going on all around me and chat around me is flooded with "Come on.. COOME ONNNN!!!" Suddenly Banny shrinks and flaps to my side and these perfect strangers who cheered me on are all giving me congratulations! While it doesnt seem like much these people cheered me on and calmed me down, made me think I could do it and every single one of them had the chance to screw me up and didnt.. The other hunter thanked me for waiting for his turn and told me that it was rightfully my turn and gave me a grats too. Thank you people of Hellscream you made my night and showed you're all full of Benevolentia! Like all of us should be!

That is such an awesome story! All those people encouraging you, and the priest willing to help out with heals I wish we would find more people who would do this instead of stealing a tame or killing the rare. I love the name, it is so beautiful!

Yay! I knew there had to be some nice people out there! Reminds me of how Mistflame summoned Gezzarak for me even though she needed the rep and let me tame her. I named my pet after her in her honor. That was a really sweet story! We need more like that on here.

We do! I had to share it. I hoped maybe it'd raise some spirirts and let people know there ARE lovely folks out there who believe kindess and respect exist even in a video game.

There must be something about Banny-- I had a similar situation when I tamed him; had some of the most amazing people from Moon Guard do everything but carry me to his level and tie him to my wrist! LOL

There is nothing that warms your heart than having folks take the time to help you out-- to every single one of you, one every single server, you have no idea how much you are appreciated!

Aww awesome story!!! I wish i could have met some nice players to wile taming ive had some bad tames, of players stealing my tames etc!

I too got a banny, as of the early morning today, with the kind help of a Druid on my server!

I forgot to mention what happened later that night! After I named Bene I was standing in SW when a male priest runs up ot me. I was confused for a sec but then noticed it was the same one who helped! He petted Bene and hugged me and after a hug back I decided to ask "So, not to be rude but why did you help? Lately a lotta asshats have been stealing stuff just to mess up someones day." The reply he gave me made me smile "Why wouldnt I? Its easier to be rude than help yeah but if I'm rude what do I get from it? Just a bad rep and a sour mood hanging over me but if I'm nice and try to help well.. I just made someone elses day and thats worth it." priest.

Awww! We need more players like that priest!
