So I've been having problems finding a pet I really klick with. I usually just tame rare pets for the challenge but then end up not liking them as much as I thought I would so I decided to just try common pets and see if I find someone I really like. So here's my question, what pet would look like a match for me?
I tend to solo, quest and do achievments a lot, switch between marks and BM and I like if there's some lore or backstory behind my pets even though I wouldn't consider myself RP.

I have a Troll hunter and my favorite pet on her is her red raptor that matches her hair.
I think trolls and raptors just go together. But that's me. XD
But what kind of family do you like the most?

I really love reptiles with Trolls myself. They also look great with jungle cats such as panthers and tigers. Anyways, here's a bunch of ideas that came to my head if any appeal to you:

Kaina - I don't really prefer any families, I tend to avoid things that flap around too much in the way of targeting though.

My vote is Pogeyan:


While there isn't a plethora of lore surrounding this cat, Pogeyan is confirmed to be a fire spirit who is revered by the local Trolls of STV. There is even a quest to acquire more information on this cat and its counterparts.

There are all kinds of personality traits you could attribute to a fire spirit: raw power, perseverence, passion. And since Pogeyan has a little bit of a back-story but not much, it would be easy to fill in the blanks with your own ideas. :]

As we've mentioned Pogeyan, it would be remiss not to also mention Mahamba, the crocolisk Water Spirit. I think the coloring and family would be a good match for your character.

When I had a troll hunter, I really loved running around with a ravager pet. Mine was named Hex.
I tamed another one today... one of the the ones that spawn at Toshley's Station.

Ravagers are fun. They're spiky balls of cheerful viciousness. And they turn flips! <3

Go with your heart and tame. That is what I always say at lest.

Just go hunting rare or not, i can guarantee that you'll find a pick you can click with without anyones opinion. (since we are all different and have different tastes)

I suggest you anything that you can find in the Barrens, Durotar and STV.
Raptor, tiger or serpent. I know it's not so original, but very good for a troll.

Since no one has really mentioned going for cats of odd colors. Let me introduce Zuni.


Anyone who's played the new troll starting area knows who Zuni is. This is my hat tip in his direction. I loved Zuni and was very sad about what happened to him. This is my way of saying "Yer always with me buddy." I've started so many trolls and Zuni always stuck with me as one of the best NPCs in the game. :<

Other then that, Veph made some wonderful troll related suggestions, even if ya might step back and look at more colors! Trolls are some of the most colorful races in the game.....as seen by the druid forms. xD The Gundrak raptor might work well too since it's a color changer!

I've never done the new troll starting quests, but I'm glad to see someone else have a special bond with the cyan cat skin ^_^

For some reason, my first thought was the plain white Tallstrider. So that's my vote!
