Ok, so long story short I asked if he was ok to have ect like other sparklies. The GM told me yes, I will get in no trouble, just avoid him in PVP. But he may not stay a fire puddle forever, they haven't decided yet! HERES TO HOPING!

Unfortunately though it doesnt look like a beast, its a puddle of fire.. it is using a graphic that people associate with aoe's so if your using it against a boss or a mob in general that uses the same graphic, it can get confusing (i myself turn off the names of pets, guardians, and minipets), plus theres the issue that it cant be targeted very well in pvp... its an awesome little discovery but it wont last long If it was a raptor that was on fire it'd be different but instead its a raptor that was burned to nothingness (or something like that i guess, i havent done the quests)

We have a chance, I mean..the ooze is an elemental too.

I'm hoping they grandfather him like the ooze, and just fix the target issues. The targetting issue is only while friendly, I've tested it, in combat, against other players ect, its 100% clickable.

The GM I spoke to said they're going to hotfix it and we would not be able to keep them cause they are exploits....

So yeah. GMs dont know everything.

If they fix the targetting issues, they should let hunters who had tamed them already keep them. Just make them useless for PVE and PVP, and only sparklepets for running around in Stormwind.

What would be a cool compromise would be if they changed them to raptors standing on a puddle of fire.
I sort of doubt that would happen, but still, would be a really cool compromise xD

Honestly I'd like them reverted to plain raptors and tallstriders. I could say the same for the other exploit pets but I'm not about to stand behind a massively unpopular opinion. ;)

Yeah, I have to believe that they'll be fixed at some point and revert to regular raptors/tallstriders. Puddles of fire really shouldn't be pets.

I will admit that I'd like to tame one just to tease some raid members about standing in fire, but that's about it.

I think a nice compromise would be reverting them to raptors - but letting them keep the fire around their feet.

how about having them revert to the condition they were in when we tamed them: a mass of exploded body parts?

I can see myself being followed around by a pile of guts and shredded meat!

That wouldn't be particularly good, either.

We're hunters, not death knights. We don't tame (or summon) corpses we killed.

Fire needs love too. D: I got mine today and think it's pretty fun when you feign death in him.
