Oh my god, I haven't played WoW much recently but today I logged on and noticed I was still camped in mount hyjal for ban'thalos when all of a sudden I look on my map and I see a yellow dot slowly circling around me. I looked everywhere and I could see no sign of the spirit bird.. Then I looked directly up and there was none other than banthy! I haven't tamed him before so I hoped it would work, flew up , dropped and it didn't shoot, did it again and the third time I dropped onto the tree I got killed. So panicking and thinking 'oh my god somebodies tamed him' I flew back to my corpse, up to the tree , dropped and missed and died once again much to the amusement of a draenei hunter and a druid circling banthy.
The third time I only just landed on the tree, calmed myself down and set the trap, this time I waited for banthy to fly above me keeping one eye on the draenei hunter. And this time it worked, he was trapped and tamed and now he's mine! I couldn't believe it! What a great way to end my day - ban'thalos was the last thing I wanted to get on my Night elf hunter. Just curious but what have other people named their ban'thaloses. I coulldnt really think of a name and need ideas. xD. (Apologies for the bad grammar, I'm very tired )

I swear that bird stalks me. I have him on 3 hunters, none of which *planned* to get him. Their names are Banny, Moonfeather, and Moonbeam.

I named mine Mystryl, after an old goddess of magic in D&D. I thought it fit with her magical-looking appearance.

I went with "Michael", after the Archangel, being that he's a spirit that fight's along side me, as well as protects me.

I named a gaudy, brightly colored parrot after archangel Gabriel. Birds+angels = win. My Aotona is Castiel.

Gratz. I named mine Einin which is Irish for little bird.

I named mine Iris. Just seemed like a good name, no special meaning behind it.
