Addons that complete your UI.

Hi! I've decided to start this here mainly to post an addons that I found useful.
The most recent is
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addo ... s-gui.aspx
GUIS is an almost complete UI addon. Just because 1.7Mbs isn't that much for what it offers.
It is a completely CLEAN UI. That is pretty rare in my opinion.
How about you?
I REPEAT!!
This is a single addon, it is not a UI Package. This controls Minimap,Bags, communication, unitframes, and bars.
BUT It is NOT a UI package. It is a single, stand alone addon. That is automatically configured when you log in. You don't lift a finger. You can edit and change it yourself if you'd like to.
To change the font
WoW>Inferface>Addons>GUIS-GUI>Media>Fonts
In there rename the font you want to change to something else, and rename the font you want it to be what the old font used to be.
(so like you'd rename Verdana what the other font is)

It's extremely cool looking and very clean but ummm .................................. is it easy to use??? I mean, I'm pretty good with this kind of stuff but looks a little complicated to me.

Extremely, log in and.. well everything is set up.
Unless you want to edit it, in which its completely possible its already pre-set up.
I've just had to add Omni-CC to it, DBM, but basically its already set up.

Ooooooh I like it! I've been debating whether to get ElvUI (read about it here:
http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/addon ... ght-elvui/) but now I might go with this one instead...

Looks neat but I hate the godawful text. D:

You can change the text in it.
WoW>Inferface>Addons>GUIS>Media>Fonts
In there there are fonts. Change them by just putting your personal ones in there and renaming it to what the old ones were.
I like this one because it is all ONE addon. Easier to manage then.. 10

I personally use ElvUI and love it. It's very easily customizable and will automatically skin some commonly used addons such as DBM and Skada.

It is nice looking.
1) Glad to hear the font can be changed - that would have bugged me.
2) Is it WYSIWYG (e.g. a cleaner way of presenting the basic info) or does it include other things like recount, omen, etc? I'd hope for the former as I've had bad experiences with "one stop shop" UIs whose components are a little to "grabby hands" with their neighbors in the addons folder...
3) Will it let you add a 3rd bar above the two shown in the screenshot? Personally I've found 2 rows to be a little cramped for my liking.
4) I noticed the author had disabled comments in the UI page you linked. Do you know of any particular reason for this? The author's description tells us how an addon *should* work, but comments provide the "end user perspective" on how an addon *does* work.
5) To install it, is it just some folders you drop into the addons folder, or is it more involved (e.g. you also have to add stuff to the interface, WTF etc folders)?

It doesn't add omen or recount. It is actually just a single addon. It isn't a UI. It is an addon. So you install it from curse and you log in and bam. If you like one of the addons it replaces like "chatter" it'll automatically disable it's own version of the addon. So it is actually all one folder.

A UI *is* an addon...
That being said, I just downloaded it to check its folder usage - I think where we weren't quite connecting is, you use the install client whereas I do it manually - but yeah, it is just one folder, so it's non-invasive.
What about adding the third bar - is that doable here?

A UI is an User-Interface. In which it uses multiple things to talk.
Ex: Keyboard and Mouse.
- An addon helps complete a UI, but it itself is not a UI. In the part that it isn't completely its own. - (When we reference UI, the blizzard UI is complete but the UI packages are not.) This is an addon that helps make a UI, but alone it is not a UI. If that makes sense.. its part of one. But not one alone. -
Anyhow back on topic.
I don't know I know there are right side bars that you can use.. and two full rows of them.
And still you down load it on curse and MANUALLY install. Bam it still works.

UI simply means User Interface - that's why your app calls itself G
UIS: g
UI, even though it doesn't come packaged with other addons.
And it is also an addon, like anything else you download from
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/...
Anyway, it is interesting looking. I may install it and see if I can find an option for adding bars to the bottom.

There anyway to have more than just the two bars? I dont want them on the side, I want them all infront of me.

I do not know that personally, you can move things around.

Hmm I might get this. I prefer a clean screen and hate having things everywhere. I had a good UI package but after Firelands came out, they never updated the one I had so it is pointless now.

I use ElvUI and love it- the only thing that bugs me is when I'm trying to set my keybindings and I forget to disable healbot, since the command to bring up the interface for keybindings is the same that brings up the healbot interface!
