So, about that fire pet...

I'm starting to get a bit worried. What if Blizz does something to owners of the pet, like... ban them?

I don't think they'll ban you. A lot of people have it, for example, and as long as you aren't using a BG, and are only showing it off as a sparkle pet, I doubt you'll be banned. I mean, how many exploit pets have we gotten where we weren't banned? (*points to worgen as the biggest example.*)

Unlikely considering how many hunters have started going for it, it will probably just be turned into something else come a hotfix. It's a glitch, I am sure it's been reported and that will be that.

Ah, okay.
I'm still keeping it in my stables until after something is done with it.

That's a risk that I think people have to knowingly take when taming this pet. There's been MANY debates on something similar to these lines in the other threads... So I'll just say that the pet IS exploitable. Using that exploit is almost a sure fire way to risk getting banned. Using it in any other way COULD be considered a risk if Blizzard decides soemthing needs to be done.

However, in my PERSONAL opinion, promoting the pet by using it elsewhere isn't much better. But again, that's just my own personal opinion, and I'm someone who is very much a rule follower. And if if i view a rule as completely harmless, I myself stick to following it, but let other's do as they wish... I might not approve, I might argue my point why I believe in the rule, but I won't, for example, directly report person X for using the pet out in the middle of the borean tundra. Neither will I help people tame it, though.

Even if you are using it in PVP i highly doubt you will get banned, if it was really that much of a problem blizzard would have already had it fixed

Yea, its their own mistake to have this bug going on for as long as it has been so they arent gonna punish us beyond whatever they do to the pet

I wouldn't say that it's Blizzard's mistake that they haven't fixed it yet they just may not have come up with a fix that works. It could be more complicated then that. I have no doubts that they're working on something to get it nixed as soon as possible.

No I doubt that you'd get banned (as others have said) if you're just having a looky-loo pet. But yes using it for Arena and BG's could land you in hot water since it's an exploit.
