I was idling out in Igneous Depths while doing artwork in OpenCanvas and reading up on Solix tame strategies. I don't camp anymore since Ban'thalos, fifteen hours with a stick up my ass literally was enough to last me forever.
Just random check-ins so I don't need to be checked in anywhere IRL.
NPCScan blares at me. It's Kirix, an obvious hunter pet. I calm my rattled nerves, test my new hotkeys for my traps one more time, go back to my arting.
It blares again. I mouse over my toolbar to bring up the in-game thumbnail, and see my miniature hunter staring down something that still looked pretty darn big.
My test trap was still there. I Concussive Shot, and the race was on!

The tame I was most afraid to try. One more tick of the tame bar, and I would have been posting in the Consolation Corner instead. There were also three people doing their Wardens daily in there at the time, and no one tried to stick out a foot and trip us. I named him for the Golden Rule. I thought it was appropriate.
