Hi all,

The worst thing happened a couple of days ago when I've told my friends about it, they've all just sorta laughed cos they're not bothered with any kind of rare mob, albeit a pet or a mount.

Sigh.

So yesterday, I was doing a circle route around Uldum for both the Camel Figurines and of course, to check on Madexx. I have NEVER once seen this Scorpian spawn since it's been there; I also moved realms to a more populated server, and the crap thing about that is a high chance at being beaten to things. Anyway, I decided to try my luck out and check Madexx's location JUST in case.... and bam, my NPC scan goes out. I go nuts, almost face-desking cos I was flying pretty high. I fly down, and target him... then I lose the target. What the deuce, is all I'm thinking. Did someone else tame him or something? My heart sunk, but I wanted to land on the ground and see for myself why my target dropped on him. You know what I see when I land? A pile of dead Scorpians, all drained for that quest where you suck out the venom for some dude.

I... yeah. I didn't know what to think about that, really. I watched the low level carry on doing his business and killing Scorpians. Did he REALLY kill Madexx for a quest? I can understand if he doesn't know what a rare is, or that Madexx is heavily hunted by many wanting him to be theirs, but gah. What horrible timing. ._.

He was blue as well... sigh.

No, I didn't actually. Amidst all that heartbreak and sadness, I just hearthstoned and logged off for a while. I didn't want to make the guy feel bad, as I imagine he probably didn't know it was a rare. That's the only thing I can think of about this situation.

Oh well, I'll start hunting for him again soon once I've gotten a Time-lost!

My RL friend killed blue Madexx for that same quest. She got a severe tongue lashing by me next time I saw her, and was really ashamed, since SHE'S A HUNTER TOO AND COULD HAVE TAMED HIM! LOL.

Ouch! x_x Well, it sounds like they probably just didn't know. It's understandable. At least we know that in WoW, everything will spawn again. I hope you get your chance again soon!!!

Problem with that is certain colors seem to be more rare. Some never see the blue at all.

Shh! I was trying to put a positive spin on things!

The good thing about Madexx is that all of his colors are great! Yes, even the bronze. It has a nice, earthy tone to it and is not so much brown as it is a very lovely bronze color. Especially in the right light!

Well, I never said the other colors were bad/better, just I see more people saying blue is rarest. I personally never camped him, so really I don't know. And the fact that the colors are random just makes it more difficult when you want a specific color to show up. I think they all look nice though, I think that model is pretty neat... I'm just not a scorpion fan.

Oh, I do hope you know I was just teasing you!!! It truly does seem like blue and red are the ones that show up rarely compared to the others. Although, on my server, it seems like green never appears, either. Well, not for me, anyway. >.> Matter of fact, I only saw black once, too, and tamed him. Bronze is the only one I've seen several times.

Aww thanks a lot hun! I'm still a bit depressed about it, because the blue one is the one I REALLY want. I'm gonna go back there again soon, once I'm over it. =p
