Hmmm, a Dilemma

Okay, so the other day while I was camping for Time-lost, Skoll just.. popped up! Now, I don't wanna go and fill my stable with spirit beasts, but no one else was around, so I tamed him just because he was the one spirit beast I wanted way back in wrath.

Now that I have him though... I'm not sure if it's just cause it's THIS hunter (I have a couple others I'm leveling, though.. not BM for main spec :( Maybe I should make a horde BM, but.. I feel Skoll might go well with a worgen... but then.. maybe a tauren could work too... Anyways, side-track aside...), but it just doesn't feel quite right... I LOVE the concept, but.. the model and implementation... meh. I also might be biasing myself away from bonding simply because I've already got Loque who I'm kind of attached to (Sparkles isn't going anywhere!) as my second spirit beast, and to be honest, I do have SOME issues with both models..

Anyways..

Pluses:
Wolf with lightning, need I say more?
The lightning actually makes zappy sounds... This is probably the one making this decision the hardest... it's such a neat little detail.
Wanted Skoll since shortly after he was released, and this is the FIRST time I've seen him in the wild.
Did I mention the zappy sounds? :D

Negatives:
The jaw...
Looks like it's been starved for months
The run just.. bothers me a little, not sure why.
And for some reason the muzzle glow.. Not sure why, again
Did I mention the jaw D:

I'm not sure what to do... I feel bad ditching it now.. Not cause it's a rare, but because it was the FIRST spirit beast I wanted... I also am hesitant to try bonding because I KNOW I could find reasons to love him.. Especially with his little zappy noises.. and then I'd have to abandon my poor Loque :(

Because then I'll have 3 spirit beasts.. And only.. I think 4 or 5 slots, maybe less, left in my stable. I'm VERY attached to most of my other pets, and others are ones I "need" incase I ever do get into raiding (and I'm semi attached to them) and.. my hope was to keep some open spots incase anything cool is released later <.< I'm also still occasionally thinking of a few more families to pick up for their abilities (recently grabbed a moth)

If I keep both "just for now"... then I'll get attached to both. Also.. I think it's partly that I LOVE it concept of skoll... But.. I'm sorry all the NR worg lovers.. but that model is just... Maybe if they at LEAST fixed the mouth.. But then the zappy sounds.. *smashes head on desk* I WANT to love him... him and his little zzzzap tzzzt tzzzt and the lightning... But.. then.. THREE spirit beasts <.<

Okay.. I have work now... <.< I'd appreciate any thoughts :/ I'm in a bit of a pickle here, heh

Eh, I'd say release him... if you ever change your mind, you can tame him again.

The Northrend wolf model does have issues that make it hard to love. :(
But then, I don't like any of the wolf models. I wish they'd improve the original one.

Well... I've gotten through work... and I just don't think I'll be able to do it :( It's the zap zap sounds I think... Maybe I'll just keep his spirit walk on, so I won't see him as solidly when he's close up... <.< as to the stables.. Well... I think I have all the important buffs... and.. I DO have a couple other hunters I'm leveling for non-exotic cool pets... *sigh*

If he doesn't grow on me any more, I'll set him free. Or maybe he can be my "backup, uh oh, stables are full I gotta abandon something" pet... cause by then, maybe I'll have made/leveled up a horde BM hunter <.<

Honestly i dont think you should set any spirit beasts free:) they rule ^^ and if you want a pet to go raiding with, then tame Sambas or Skarr ^^ thats all you need there matie:)

Half the time, you wont even need those buffs. Most 10-man raids already got all of them covered. Thats why I dont bother trying to get all the buffs.

Well, I have a large variety already... I have my dino, kitty, corehound, not ideal, but my worm has the one debuff, and I have many others... Oh, my shale spidey... I think I still have 6 slots open. As for cats, I find that's the most common buff already provided Clonix ;) I also already have 2. Spirit beasts also provide the exact same buff as cats (I only play BM on this character), so I could take either, though the spirit beasts also provide a heal, which while not awesome, comes in handy sometimes.

I'm not a rare hunter by any means. I admit to having quite a few rares, however, that's ONLY because I like their skin and there wasn't a common option available.

Thanks Jess :D That's knowledge makes it much easier. I'll just have to make sure I get one of my other hunters leveled before more than 6 other cool skins are released (or discovered by me, hah).

No problem. I raid a lot in different groups and more often than not, I dont need to bring anything special, even my corehound. It's never usually needed.
