I fiiiinally transferred Veeka over to Wyrmrest Accord(thanks to a very, very generous man who I love to death) and I've come to realize that until this model is released, I really need to find a cat to bond with, especially now that I'm back to being a Draenei. I currently have Sambas and I'm not...clicking with him at all. He just looks silly, and so he got a silly name(Thunderbuns, lol). Rare or common or unique - I don't care, throw me your suggestions. :P

I logged out in a silly mageweave/battleforge set last night so my armory might not be the best example, but it's in my signature. In character, Veeka's kind of a punk. She's a smartass. She's an active Sha'tari Skyguard ace(as of now, that might change) so she's not exactly weak - but her mouth gets her in trouble more than anything. Because of her 'tude I think I'll avoid the pure white saber, as pretty as it is - I'm thinking a tiger, or maybe one of the old 'plains cat' models a la Broken Tooth. Anything you suggest, though, I'll try. :)

Here are some screenies I nabbed last night, looking for cats, etc. I decided I wasn't going to use either of these skins, though. One is a panther from STV, the other is Shango.

I dunno why, but when I looked at your toon this model came to my head:

Seems like the Cringer cat (the green with orange stripes one) would be a good fit for your personality. Or the hunter's personality rather

Matches your coloring a bit and you seem to like the saber cats.

Alternate choice:

i vote shadow claw he needs some love

As ugly as it is (IMO), the green cat does kinda seem like it might match your personality.




Or, perhaps a spunky, fire-red lynx is more your style?




A black lion sorta seems like it would suit you as well, it's something about the way he looks.




For your character, it's not so much the color of the cat that's important, it's its personality and the way it carries itself. Good luck!

Agreeing with this one. I want an orange and green kitty, just have to find a suitable cat.

My first thought: Hawkbane. He seems like a witty, smart-arse sort of creature with a grim sense of humor. ("Oh, look, they're pleading for my return! Oh, this is too perfect, I think I'll just hide in my cave a little longer… HAH! A noob 60 is wandering by! Time to make my appearance!")
That and I think he'd match you well. White and black, with a tiny blue tint, just like Veeka.

Also, I'm totally adding you to my friends list wether you like it or not. (Rassaa, of the same faction and realm.)

Welcome to WrA. I only play horde but I'll wave if I see you. Might make an alliance alt someday; been wanting to play a worgen.

But anyways, I suggest the dark tiger skin either normal cat model or saber model. Being both brown and white colored matches your hunter's hair and skin color.

I like the lynx (brown) model or Hawkbane, or given your paleness, the ghost saber.
Also, barrens lion(ess) models are very under used and appriciated.

I gotta go with pretty glacier kitty too, tho the descript of Hawkbane had me in stitches.

I'd go for this one personally - I tried a bunch of others on my draenei (rakshiri, white lion, black tiger, blue/black tiger, etc) and this was my favorite

Thanks again for all of your suggestions guys! :) I think I'm going to take a break from farming transmog gear and go on a trip to tame/screenshot each of these guys, and I'll hang on to the ones who start forming a personality and we'll see how we go from there. :D I did tame a black lion and we had some adventures, but I'm not really feeling as attached to him as I thought I would.

SO several things. One, this is super image-heavy! And two, I changed Vee's character around a bit - she's not a Skyguard ace, she's just a treasure hunter/courier/merc with a mechanic streak or, as she puts it, unemployed and overeducated.

Since it was closest, I decided to hit up Badlands to try out one of my own suggestions - Broken Tooth.

I wasn't around for Vanilla or BC, but Broken Tooth is still legendary to me. I've heard so many stories, it seems a shame that he's not nearly as popular as he used to be.



...of course, this was the one time he wasn't here! I'm being picky with this skin though, so I'll check back later.

After that, I had to fly to STV to catch the(highly hazardous) boat ride to Kalimdor. Goblins and drunken treasure hunters don't often get along, although I might have fared better if I didn't wear my Bloodsail Admiral title. In retrospect I could(should?) have nabbed King B in case of a MIA Hawkbane, but it's less about the skin and more about the personality of the cat, and King B strikes me as kind of a mellow, past-his-prime dude.



Even the bird hates me.

I flew all the way instead of taking a flight path because goblins. :(

KITTY #1. Winna's Kitten, renamed Miasma because BOATMURDERED.



Despite how 'ew wtf' this skin seems to come off as it's really actually very nice - in the wild at least, the size of the cat itself kind of adds something. She didn't really shrink much, but I think I'd like her more if she were just a little bigger - that goes for all non-saber cats, though. :P She looks surprisingly nice next to me, though with her being a kitten the personality I got from her was more of a timid, confused youngling than something a courier would like to have by her side.



KITTIES #2 - 4: Moonstalker Sire, Shadowclaw and Moonstalker Matriarch - Chip and Ironicus + Proteus. Cookies for references. ;)







I like these skins! A lot! But they don't really feel like the ones, I guess, despite their names being the best things ever. It's a real pity Chip's skin doesn't have a riding saber equivalent. :( I like all three of them though, although at this point I might hang on to Ironicus.







KITTIES # 5 - 7! Frostsaber Pride Watcher, Huntress, Stalker. :P Renamed to Retsupurae, Khad and Puddlejumper, respectively.

Continuing with the awesome name theme and actually messing with my preferred cat model! Woo!





Retsu is a color I normally really like, but it looks soft and girly next to Vee, who is anything but soft and girly. Tiffany is purple too, but Tiffany fits because he's dark, I suppose. Will definitely have to use his name again when I'm feeling referency though. ;P





Khad is another reference. ANOTHER. GAWD. I like his name, but not his skin, really. I already have the same skin on another hunter, and it suits her quite well.


(This guy stopped and watched me tame while he was getting smacked around by a kitty - hello mister tauren!)



PUDDLEJUMPER. I hate this skin, I thought it was goofy for ages. And yet, I'm kind of finding myself liking him quite a lot - maybe it has to do with his blue feet. :P

I'll be honest, I kind of planned to see Sian-Rotam here too but he wasn't up either.

I will do the rest after a break, this post is getting huge. xD

Impressive cats you have there

Those are gorgeous, but I think, with your character's attitude, haha, that perhaps she would like one of the hunched cats with glowing red eyes and shining fur. I thought of these two when I read about your character and saw her.





The black one is found either in Ulduar during the cat lady (forgot her name) boss fight or in ZG before fighting the cat lady boss (also forgot HER name).

The shining tiger is found in Uldum and can be tamed even if you are phased out if you're in the correct location. WoWhead has a photo of the specific location you need to be at to see and tame these cats if you're phased out.

To edit, the Uldum tigers actually have glowing GREEN eyes instead of red. Really unique, if you ask me.

Thanks again Sarantha - I saw your tiger and I'm going to go tame one just to see, since I really do like the original tiger skin more than the black/white varieties. :) I don't think I'll be able to get into Ulduar/ZG(still not geared for one, and I have no friends for the other) but the panther is gorgeous too!
