Personally I'm underwhelmed, but hopeful they'll tweak the models to distinguish them more from human mounts.

A horse? A HORSE!? Where is our bear-pig?! RAWR! It's a preview (yes), it somewhat fits into lore (kinda) but a...horse!?

And I agree, WHERE IS OUR BEAR-PIG WHATEVER YOU SHOULD CALL IT MOUNT..cause that would be the first mount I farm rep for...

Actually, since this one is 14770, it came first.

Plain, but I think rather than focusing on a new fancy model, Blizzard just acquiesced to those who wanted the 2 extra Alliance mounts for collecting balance. As a comment on WoW Insider stated:

I call these the "There, you Alliance players now have two more mounts to collect like the Horde got with Goblins, now shut up," set.

Umm horses. They can get those from thew humans.

Is it me or do those mounts look like they will be crushed by the worgens?

.. *scratches head* well.. umm.. I hope they dont just use the same skins we have and just make them with no saddle.. atleast make them have different colors...


Though it be fun if they make it like what they are kinda saying, where you go yourself to tame/mount and the horses becomes yours. That would be cool.

But really.. kind of a let down.. was soo excited when it said Worgen racial mounts! Then.. it turned into just same skins just no saddle.

Heck id prefer if they had used instead the golden winterspring lion and the other one.

What? It's like entirely the same thing as human mounts... why would anyone even want them other than to add to their # of mounts collected? O_o

That's the only use I have out of those new mounts. Yay.

Really, I hope that's a rough...ROUGH, design and they surprise us with something awesome. Patch 4.3 was looking delicious on all sides until this bomb dropped this morning.

what I think would be awesome:

when Worgen ride them in human form: horses
when Worgen ride them in worgen form: wolves

(just horses for everyone else)

Eurgh....this is a controversial decision to have delayed so long. I'm glad that the mount count will be evened, but that's about it. Horses could have made the original launch date in the eyes of the players; this many months after the expansion's release, it's as though there's been a massive amount of buildup, even though Blizzard never promised mounts to worgen. The expectation was there, whether it was fair or not. I know it's a pain in the ass to get a new model base going for mounts, though, so will just be shrugging and collecting the mounts for the count (and hoping that there's some small detail I haven't noticed that makes these horses different).

I'm actually kind of glad of this. Plain old horses DO make sense for worgen at least. I think much better than that weird boar-like thing. Honestly, even if they made up a detailed story as to why Gilneans ride giant mutant porkers instead of horses, it would have always smelled of "we can't give two races the same mounts, no matter how much sense it makes, so we need to contrive some convenient story to explain it". I'd love to see a new and different mount in the game but I'm also glad they didn't go with anything bizarrely different just for the sake of it.

Carriages would have been awesome AND thematic though, and obviously already exist. And I always wanted goblins to have a sedan chair carried by two grunts Ah well, they could always be the epic mounts
