I was with a friend in Utgarde Pinnacle today, and he said "wanna see me tame a green snake?" I said "sure, go for it." I followed him, but I didn't pay attention. I got DC'd somewhere along the way, and he tells me on vent "Dude, you dc'd!". I log back in, and what do I see next to my stout dwarven friend? A GREEN COBRA.

http://www.wowhead.com/npc=5225 is the only thing I could find, but it's a mob from Sunken Temple, which I thought wasn't tamable.

How did he get this? He won't tell me, and I want one. I want a green snake badly.

Murk Spitters are tamable, unique skin too, if I recall. I don't think you have to even go in the instance proper, they wander around in the flooded part just after the building entrance.

Oh, nice. However, he got the snake in Utgarde Pinnacle, which I don't understand. I've seen all of his pets, which were Loque, a pink raptor, a black lion, a black northrend wolf, and a slime (lucky person....), so I have no idea how he got the snake in UP.

Wouldn't surprise me if he somehow caused you to d/c there.

What IS weird is that Wowhead lists a single appearance of that mob in UP. You two went there alone? Or you were already in a group?

I'm about to go on a stealthing mission with my rogue.

It was a cleared UP, which I was saved to. He saw me do it earlier in the day, and said "let's go back in!", which got him saved.

On another note, I just went to Sunken Temple and got the green snake. Thanks for the tip off, Fworbin. I wish they'd fix the shading problem and make it bright green again /sigh

Hmmm....how far into UP did you go before you d/ced?

I'm thinking that wherever this guy is hidden, it's after the third boss, so will need a cleared instance to go check.

I DC'd in Svala Sorrowgrave's room, on the staircase. I was on follow, and alt tabbed. I relogged and was on the steps.

Oh hmm, so it's early in the instance. I'll have to try again later; there's gotta be a hidden room or something.

The map on the wowhead link shows it as being on the lower floor, somewhere after Svala, so I'm reaching the same conclusion. Hmm. I'm so curious now.

I didn't see anything when I was there earlier, but I'm going to try again.

EDIT: I'm just not seeing a hidden room/passage/anything. WTB hint!

I dunno, I doubt the appearance of the serpent on Wowhead was connected to Kikanu's friend... It's so random that it might be true.

I vote for this theory:

When you Dc'd he did call stabled pet!

That's too obvious.

Besides, see my last point: why would this serpent be on Wowhead BEFORE the incident if there wasn't some truth to it?

There's always hope! Personally I'd like to think it might be in there somewhere, but... but I've had the wool pulled over my eyes too often for that... MY SOUL HAS BEEN SCARRED AND THEREFORE DOESN'T WANT TO BELIEEEEEVE!!

My hope is that the OP's friend will fess up to how he pulled it off (be it real or fake).
