First off before I ask , I'd just like to say incredible website, time and effort you people put in. Also some nice blog links, beautiful signatures (jealous) and just a great example of how positive the gaming community can be.

On with the question many moons ago I rolled a Tauren hunter bank alt, because at that time the diamond tipped cane was a 2h wielder, Tauren lore wise are one of my favourite races, thunderbluff is a) beautiful b)quiet - so no beggars, and I quite liked the contradiction of a capitalist/goblinist cow and there he sat accumulating wealth and steadily becomming more "pimped out" antique cuffs, rose tinted specs/monacle, the various red/purple/blue holiday suits, sapphire pinky ring, nobles elemetium signet, as many tooth picks as possible and the occasional female gnome mask, topped off with various "rare" vanity pets in tow.

Anyway I recently started to level him and have had alot of fun questing and running bg's now he's never going to raid/arena/rbg, I'm a care bear healer at heart (mains a resto druid and my raiding/pvp alt is a disco queen) but collecting rares/unusual pets is something i'd like to do, especially as a kind of post raid/arena, wind down sooo .. any banker theme suggestions? something that proclaims wealth/affluence and all things money I've been looking at two options "old" money what ho jeeves English country gentleman and "new" money brash in your face bling uncouth uncultured wealth.... and throw into the mix his Taurenism.

So far as he's only lvl 52 I've picked up, Humar,Poyegan ,Eyecheeyakeeekakaka ,Olm, Zaricotl, Urso'lok and the howling fjord flight form alike bird as a hat tip to my druid I was thinking birds and hounds for a more aristo look ( I have to get a Mastiff as I'm the proud owner of two old English mastiff's pity theres not a brindled skin tho') and Aotona is a must have to go with his vanity macaw, but other than that i'm kinda stuck so any suggestions for a wealthy Tauren old/ new money greatfully accepted (and with some practicle abilities for questing,soloing pug BG's and world pvp survivability..... souds like I want the moon on a stick here)

(Also any idea's for costumes for a Tauren I think I have the trash wealth side sorted but other than the tux look I'm stuck for idea's for an aristocrat cow.... I noticed a few users like RP type wear having looked at their blogs)

Thank you for your time, I can see why hunter pet collecting gets a bit addictive, I'm already considering another hunter and have another theme in mind. (also brings the troll out in me i'm on a hardcore pvp server and theme's, Rp, costuming seems to make alot of people foam at the mouth, my banker has had "hate mail" not because of undercutting but because of dressing him up)

You could get a Black Worg Mount (wow-petopia.com/look/pvpridingdirewolfskindarkblack.html) as the "Mount" that you're not riding because you're in town.
A Monkey of any type (wow-petopia.com/family/monkey.html) could be good for the whole "Eccentric Billionaire" pet thing, or as a Monkey Butler.
Maybe a Rhino (wow-petopia.com/family/rhino.html) when you hit Northrend as a Pack Animal to carry all your stuff.
The Jeweled Scarab (wow-petopia.com/look/uldumscarabskinmulti_bluegreenredteal.html) looks like it's actually made of expensive gems, but you'd have to hit max level.
Last one I can think of is the Ruby Serpent (wow-petopia.com/look/serpentskinruby.html), it looks like it's actually made of ruby.

Few things that came to my mind :

These beetles just strike me as looking like a piece of gold or jewellrey with their golden carapace and royal blue markings.

I've always found owls look nice with Tauren, and one made of jade seems like a perfect match for your character. The solid ones are not until 73, but there's a ghostly version you could get in the meantime.

Spiteflayer, with its two heads and golden colouring, could symbolize a sort of greed and wealth.

Crabs could be viewed as grabby and greedy with pinchers to hoard their belongings, and scorpids could have similar aspects.

A cobra made of ruby could be the perfect guardian to curl up around your treasures and protect it.

Diamond spider perhaps?

Any of the Spirit Beasts, once you get high enough level, seem like good shiny pets to have that sort of rich/rare flair.

There's actually a banker toon on Dethecus who has Kirix, just because. I personally love your idea of a mastiff; seems very upper-crust.

Hi again and thanks and some of those are now on the hit list as it were especially as jewelcrafting has been an integral part of making gold i'm thinking of the JC only trinkets as pets so obviously the emerald owl, a nice black panther, and definitely the ruby serpent along with the obvious spirit beasts, and the just because i can type pets, long way to go yet but its been alot of fun so far. I have two other questions for both Vephriel and Kalliope if thats ok.

1. Vephriel in your blog your Huntress sports a black outfit which looks to be made up of scouting armour/defias armour but what are the boots and gloves?
2. Kalliope are you the same blogger who does the crafting blog ?

Ah, my default black outfit is composed of a Scouting Tunic, Quick Buck Leggings, then the boots/gloves/belt are from the Bandit set (Bandit Boots, Bandit Gloves, etc). Always liked the look of them with the silver buckles.

I agree with Erinyes that a scarab beetle would make a wonderful tank pet, but as you have to be in the 80s to tame one, the blue or green silithid beetles are also striking. (Edit: And the golden silithid beetle is, well, gold!)

The black widow spider is an attention-getting pvp spider.

And I think a rich hunter would have to have an old-fashioned menagerie! Pets that would fit this theme could include Mazzranache, dragonhawks, and warp stalkers (don't forget there's tameable ones in Winterspring now).

Damn, if only that silver crab had made it into the game! Or any of the more gem-like gemstone cats. Hopefully we'll see another soon

I agree that mastiffs look very toffish, so cool there. Other than that the black diamond kitty would look fancy and match your formalware. The purple or turquoise tallstriders would also look rather elegant.

OOoh, and when you are of level, do not forget Pogeyan-- he shimmers and has the ruby glow eyes

I've always believed that any jeweled-skinned/shimmery-skinned pet would make a suitable companion for a banker.



You could also go for a strict green pets theme since green is the color of money (if you are a U.S. resident that is).



As mentioned before, gold-colored skin pets would also be very suitable.



Or combine these concepts if you wanted to help fill out your 25 stable slots!

Nope, I'm a different Kalliope. The lady who does the crafting blog is Kaliope with one L and plays a druid. We have met, though! We ran into each other on the 4.2 PTR and just kind of stared at each other for a bit.

Hey guys/girls thanks for the input, it given me alot of food for thought, espcially the beetles and crabs and ofc the black jewel type cat, I picked up Ashtail the other day mainly because he/she goes with the blue/purple holiday suit but thinking about it sometimes you have to be crafty and cunning in the world of AH pvp and they were once hunted by the landed gentry over here. I'm also interested in birds of prey looks as Falconry was once considered the sport of kings ( tho for some reason it seems to be now polo/horse racing ) and I love birds of prey the Gyrfalcon being a particular favourite both for its looks and its incredible speed.

Going off on a tangent again I mainly reposted to say thanks to Niabi,Arisia,Wain,GormanGhaste,Kalliope and Vephriel for their thought provoking responses cheers peeps.
