Miyon's mount journal!

Edit: Uuuh, I've been getting a lot of mounts since the last time I even thought about this thread.. I've gotten Golden Lotus, Klaxxi, Cloud Serpents, Anglers and Tillers to exalted, so I have all those mounts. Shado Pan will get to exalted in four days. :3 Apart from that, I've gotten both maly months, within two weeks of each other. I've probably obtained a lot more, but that's what I can remember at the top of my head xD
I thought I'd follow the trend and have a mount journal of my own, so I just renamed my Al'ar thread. I lost internet when there was four days left of Brewfest, and got it back a while after Hallow's End ended, so I was without internet for 6 weeks and therefore lost 6 attempts at my lovely birdie.
After I got back online, I have had things going on right and left and haven't had the time to set up a run, gonna try and do it solo next time so I don't have anyone to compete with for the mount if it were to drop.
I will again try and farm Al'ar every week until I eventually get him, but I am prepared to have to run it a good many times. I also have a couple of side projects going on, like the Sea Turtle (got over 2k fish on my stat page), fly around Uldum for the Camel Figurine when I can, camp poseidus during weekends and tuesdays (if I even have a chance at tagging it first due to the cheater), and when I feel in the mood, run ZG and solo Stonecore for the mounts there. I saw the raptor drop once, but I lost the roll.
Tempest Keep runs: 29 (including old count)
Fish caught: 3456
Stonecore runs: 17 (old count, but still counting)
Karazhan runs: I don't have a count, but I am doing this every week, and no luck so far. iWin.
Malygos runs: 21
Onyxia runs: 22
Miyon's Mount Collection! New link here, haven't been arsed to update the warcraft mount one. This is my armory link. xD

gl hun!
The ashes are awesome :3 I personally think they are cooler than the new purple phoenix mount (and my favourite colour is purple!)
Hope it drops soon for you!

Thank you!

I think it is the best looking flying mount ingame. Love it!

I hope my farm won't take years, at least.

The moment I get Aeonaxx, I will help you as much as I can. People in our guild tend to follow me in raids and such, so you shouldn't struggle getting a group again ^-^

I've heard about Hunters who can solo him, though I've no idea how someone can do that. If you're MC'd, I'm pretty sure you'd just devastate your pet. :/
Good luck though, hope it's a short and painless farm for you.

I'd love to see a solo guide. i'm about to go just now with two guildies, after we devastated ourselves last week and gave up...

Oh, soloing it isn't too hard, but a bit tricky. My problem is getting past the weapon phase alone before he respawns the belves. When you get to the main part of the fighting, you just los him and your pet behind a pillar, so you won't get mc'ed. You don't need to be in los to pop kc. You only step out to heal and occasionally dps some. Granted, I haven't tried soloing since my ilvl was like 350.

The group this week was me, a warlock, resto druid and a warrior tank (thanks everyone). We downed him on first try as soon as we got the tank in, and apart from that, only one wipe. No mount this week either, sadly, but I didn't expect that either.

Hehe I watched on it Kitty's screen. Looks like an epic fight. After I get this damn drake I'm thinking of farming tbc raids for the gear

Hehe

Watching things on others screens can be quite fun

All the other three became mc'ed at one point. xD
Now I don't know what to do.. Go look for camel statues or fish? xD

I am working on the fishing up a turtle part, but it feels like I have fished a million fish now xD So I take some fishing sessions and then I do something else to not wear me out.

No luck this week either, but probably for the best since we took two pugs, both of which were after it. This is mine and Windle's farm after all, and I'd hate to lose the mount to a pug we took just to be able to complete it. xD
I will study the encounter some, and see if I can be arsed to actually solo it.
No turtle so far, for that matter.

Not sure if it is soloable because of the mind control. D:

Ah, but it is soloable. But you kinda have to be bm, and position Kael'thas perfectly behind the pillar and los him.

Actually, study
this video. It's a good one for learning how to solo it as a hunter

After watching, you just need a lot of practice. I tried when my gear was shit bad, but now that it's 373 I should probably try again. My main problem was when the weapons came, I couldn't get them down fast enough. And the phase where he throws you in the air. It hurt without a healer.

My main is a warlock so that would never work for me. XD
