So I've been looking for mysterious camel figurines for a while now. I've been dreaming about finding them, which keeps bumping my finders reward if a guildie happens to find me the real one. I think I'm up to 30K. I've been recording every fake camel that I find, the time and date, but not always where I find it, if I could figure out how to make a map to put up here I would. I've kept every dust, so I have a record "physically" of how many I've found so far, so when I do find it I'll have made a good chunk of cash! (./cry).

What I SEEM to have found so far, is that they spawn no less than six hours and no later than ten hours after the last one was clicked. I've found as many as three in one day, but also have gone as long as a week without finding any.

Then I went on vacation for two months, and came back.

I'm probably missing a few in my recorded list, because I know at some point I got a little down about how many fakes I was finding. But I'm hoping that maybe from how many I've found since I started looking, I can help someone else figure out something about the camels that I haven't figured out, that they can share with the rest of the class.

Friended you I'm Neith on Alliance side as well. Yeah, I think the only ones I've seen so far from manno are me and a guildie. If you do a lot of Aeonaxx camping, definitely get some potions of deepholm, they are great for getting there quick.

Thank you! Yeah, it does seem like a lot, and it feels like a lot, I'm pretty jealous of all these folks who find the real one so casually, like on the fifth figurine.

Ah, I logged on my rogue for a bit. I am gonna go randomly kill stuff. YEY.

Well I've spent quite a while looking in the last week and still haven't found even a '10 which is a little weird for me. I haven't even found any silken treasure chests, which normally I know how to look for. Hopefully I'll at least find a fake in a few days to help me feel like I'm getting somewhere!

I'm currently on 22, so you are a bit ahead of me on fakes, but I know how annoying it is. Hopefully we both get the real one soon, good luck

Gah. I swear that Blue Maddex is more common than the real camel.

I guess in a way, I found a 29th fake today, and I'm still a little shaky typing because npcscan popped the second before someone else clicked on the camel. I came over and looked and there was only a pile of sand, and they didn't teleport. So obviously it was fake, which makes me not feel like I'm going to have a nervous collapse or something. It is a little nerve wracking though because I've seen them in Uldum a lot lately and so obviously they are looking for the camel as well, so I guess that would explain the weird dry spell I'd had, and any future ones. *gnaws on fingernails*

Bah, I hate competition >.< it always makes me so nervous!

Found #31 tonight. Getting kind of tired of Uldum. Figured out the reason I haven't been finding any for a while now, is that someone I've been watching just /afk out in the Ruins of Ammon has been looking for them and finding them for a guildie of theirs. I had it spawn under me, and they flew down with their guildie to pop it before I could reach it, then they decided it made sense to /yell LOSER at me which kind of confuses me, like really! I am kind of baffled. People are strange.

People can be jerks. They forget that they're not the only people who are sentient. I hope you get a better luck streak soon, 31 camels is just… wow. I've only ever found one!

NPC ID: 50409 -IS- the camel that transports you to the camel hoarder? Considering 50410 doesn't have the sandstorm ability.

Oh my god! Number Thirty Two was IT! I just found it at 4:44:05pm at the Ruins of Ammun. I flew up and npcscan picked it up, and i stood next to it and checked npcscan and it was the '09 one. I clicked, it tornado'd me to Feralas. And I sat there swearing in gchat going 'OH MY GOD' and barely able to feel my hands I was so excited. Finally after two minutes of trying to calm down I killed him and looted and earned my title so much. Oh my god I can't believe I finally found it and got it and WOW.
