"If you give him a chance..."

I cant remember the thread... I cant remember the poster who said it...
But all I could remember was something they said about the Bronze Madexx, "If you give him a chance..."
I never have given it a chance. Brown is so "plain" that I never even stopped to try. I have a red Madexx... I ran into it, I tamed it on a whim, I like the color. I have been happy with him, but admittedly there was no connection, no bond. That intangible "something" was missing.
I had a Madexx model... yet still all I heard in my head was "If you give him a chance..." So I finally decided to give the bronze Madexx model a chance.
First was saying goodbye to the red one I had. It wasn't a hard thing to do, which made me feel bad I had this guy cooped up so long. He should have been free, or at least with someone he could click with. He looked happy to be let loose back in the sands of Uldum.

After that, I decide to go after the bronze model. Now I wasn't planning on camping a Madexx. Sure it would be quite something if the bronze just happened to spawn for me, but Madexx's timer is to sporadic to sanely camp. No, the common model will do.
I found one sitting out by himself in Uldum, a common venomscale spitter. She was very vicious, very defensive. There was quite the chase but the scorpid calmed down long enough check it out.

It was an uneasy meeting, but soon the little scorpid realized just how persistent I was, and I learned just how resistant she was.
After much wrangling, I finally got her to give me a chance. I could tell that she was defensive in personality to, not easily letting her guard down. I broke through to her, but really... it was she that broke through to me.

And so whoever it was that said to give the bronze madexx model a chance, thanks. I finally found one I clicked with, even though I have passed them by many times. Your words penetrated enough to get me to stop my endless camel figurine searching and give the bronze madexx a chance. We may not match at all, and it may not seem like the best looking pair, but looks fade... its the bond that will last.
