This is Luka :D He's a pleco ^-^ I got him two days ago after from walmart (I know, I usually never ever want to get fish from walmart this fish needed saving). He was in a tank full of spotted puffer fish. I had read the description of the spotted puffer fish and it said that they might nip fins, so I looked and I saw one of them (it was the same one, none of the others gave a damn) chasing after this poor pleco trying to bite his fins. :( I just felt so terrible and helpless so I ended up buying the poor little guy. I also bought some ghost shrimp!

So yeah, here he is XD

Haha~

These are some of my favorite fish! He looks so derpy and "omg where am I!"!
I'm sure he's going to be happy from getting away from those other fish. Very. Happy.

What a cutie :) Right now I've got an albino sailfin pleco in my tank, though I used to have the same pleco as you, a common brown one, who was approximately 15 inches long and lived about 16 years.

My husband brought home a pleco several years ago. They can get very big and produce a lot of waste. Ours also ate our ghost shrimp. He or she took 2 nets to corral last time we upgraded the tank. It's a special sort of fish, lol.

Oh yeah I've read so much about plecos recently. I've always admired them a lot but never had one and never really knew what they were called (I just called them sucker fish). ^^; I hope to go out and get a cucumber or zucchini at some point and give him a slice and see if he'll eat it. So sign of eating the algae wafers yet (though the ghost shrimp love em) but who knows. Perhaps he's still getting used to the new environment. I also really need to go out and buy him some driftwood and stuff to hide in. X_x Right now he mostly just hides behind the filter while the lights are on (he's like a little vampire fishy. Nu litez!!!) so that is possibly another reason he doesn't seem to be eating.

I haven't had a fish with a name since my last beta fish, Yankee Doodle (Doodle for short, he was red white and blue. Amazing fish was amazing), so I'm glad to have one again. For some reason they're fun to talk to xD

And man, this is making me want a beta fish again. x.x Just not sure where the best place to get one would be. I feel so bad for the beta fish at Petsmart and Petco and whatnot. They always look so sad and depressing... :( Perhaps if I get a beta again I'll check the closest pet store (they take awesome care of their other animals they sell so perhaps their fish are more happy).

But yeah. Fish are cool ^^ I one day would love to own a really big aquarium. For now though I can only afford 10 gallons. Don't grow too fast, Luka!

(And yes, I want to poke Luka as well :P I also want to try and hand tame him.
