...that is exactly what happened to me. That and the pretty blood elf boys.

I remember when I first started playing, I would make circuits around Nordrassil, killing and skinning all the bunnies and deer for my leather-working.

Roflroflrofl, never again will I kill the harmless deer.....okay, maybe once more....MORE MORE MORE!

Ah, man, yeah. I remember when critters leveled your skinning. I remember anything that had a skull scared the ever-living crap out of me. Essentially, my response would be, "HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP IT HAS A SCARY SKULL AND IT WANTS TO EAT ME."

I was ten or so, okay?

Yeah that's me except I got stuck on the enthralled part for 6 years.

Ahahaha, that was me. I didn't want to ever kill wolves, either. xD
And once I remember somehow climbing the cliffs out of the Durotar starting zone and falling into the river to be eaten by crocs… I kept saying to my brother, "They did TWENTY-FOUR DAMAGE!" and being all shocked. xD

My cousin was like that, she named her character like deadbarbie (undead mage) or something and was like OMG YOU CAN KILL THE LITTLE ANIMALS!! D: but never got past that stage. XD

I too had a moment were I learnd you could kill critters and skin them. Me and my sister lvled skinning in Darnassus for days xD

Hahaha, that comic is hilarious! And kinda true to how my sister and I started. My bro just got Burning Crusade, and when I found out I could tame (nearly) any animal in the game, I was hooked. My sister got up to lvl 40 and stopped, but it was so fun running around Eversong leveling with her. And then squealing at my bro (on his big, mean lvl 60 mage) to save us from Alliance gankers in Tarren Mill. So little, hahaha!

I wish I could say this is how I got addicted. But it's not. I got addicted because "OMG YOU CAN TAME YOUR OWN PETS?!"

.... I did spend inordinate amounts of time grinding cute little baby dragons, though. ... for the whelp. Obviously. No other reason.
