Heya,

Some of you guys might remember me.. I had some computer issues and was internetless for awhile, finally back on now. I haven't played WoW in quite awhile since I had to cut down my costs :( Some recent medical issues have been proving to be quite expensive and I wasn't going to buy low quality food for my dogs... soooooo I said bye bye for WoW for a bit. So since I have no WoW news I'll post here, I'm very active in the "Dog world".

I shall tell the story through pictures :D

Earlier this year I was having some weight problems with Dakota, so I've rearranged our schedule for the week, reduced his food on days we train with treats and upped exercise regiments.
Here he was earlier, a chub butt around 78lbs. (The chain in the picture was there because I decided to hang out in the front yard since it was a nice day, but our fence is really short in the front, 3 feet, so I put him on a chain while we were out there for security.)
Image
And after making the changes
Image

No problems with my boy other than that really.
We got a 50 foot biothane leash so he can go swimming at the park  (Swimming is probably his second favorite activity)
Image
It's so nice seeing him in shape again.
Image
Wet dawgie
Image
He got a new collar too, although it's very durable and water proof I'm babying it. I love it so much, so it'll be our collar for non-dirty things.
Image
What are you doing?..(I love how you can tell when he raises an eyebrow)
Image

For those familiar with bitework, some agitation work.(These are from his chubbier days earlier this year) He makes funny faces so I had to share.

I recently started fostering a dog too. She's a 2 year old (Estimate) American Pit Bull Terrier mix named Alice (after the one from Resident Evil, I needed a name for a girl that I didn't associate "Feminine" with... since she definitely isn't). I adore her, awesome girl!
We went to a kid's camp twice and talked about Pit Bulls. She was a very good girl. :headbang:

The first day I brought her home, she was a chunk and had almost zero manners.

3rd week, she had the first two weeks off since she was spayed. Then we started exercise to get some definition and lose some fat. (That's my grandmother playing with her.)

Week 4, showing more improvement. :) (Also my grandmother)

More recent ones, she looks great now.

Life is hard work...

Another picture of her being a good girl in the classroom where we talked to the kids.

I got bored one night, and messed around with some pictures of Dakota.

The start of something... (I had to color that eye in, his eye in the original picture was too dark)

Alice said that she had to get a new collar since Dakota did.

My young cousin (the girl) loves American Pit Bull Terriers, she loves taking Alice for walks. (with me right there supervising of course)

And then the big day.. er weekend. Dog Sports Expo, I was there with a booth for my weight pulling club. It was awesome!

Dakota was getting hot so I put him in his crate, put a blanket over it to block the shade and gave him some ice and water. He got mopy, and Dakota is pro at sad facing.

Maxx came in the morning before it got hot, he is quite the unique special needs boy. Some guy got him to be a guard dog, but it didn't work out so he got rid of him. He ended up in his current home, he was later diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. One day when they came back from work they noticed something off with him and brought him to the vet. His retinas were detached. They don't know how, the vet thinks he might of ran into something or their other dog hit him while playing. He's blind now, shortly after his hair began to fall out and it grew back white. Their vet said it was the stress of being blind... He was a bicolor, black with tan points. People don't believe he's a papered GSD. I don't know if his story is true, but he sure is a unique boy. He's on meds for his HD, and the poor guy doesn't have the greatest structure.

And Dakota didn't realize he was blind....

Oh wow, all of these dogs are gorgeous. And I think Maxx is the sweetest thing in the world.
You have my greatest admiration for going out and doing all these things with your dogs! They must be ridiculously happy and healthy.

I wish I lived where there was a dog club. Most people around here discipline their dogs with shovels and leave them on chains.

That is so cool you do all that. I have been wondering if I could teach my mastiff pup to do the dock jumping. Just thought it would be funny to see a big sloppy mastiff out there doing that.

Some very pretty dogs in those shots. Big props on all the hard work.
