The Chan's Art

Hi all...I'm new here. I'm also a starving artist. I'd like it very much if you took a peek at my work!
I'm a traditional artist (none of this digital bollocks!) and pride myself in what I do. I specialise in beasties/mythological stuff, so I thought you chappies would find it interesting. My current gallery (which is under construction, but a lot of work is still up) is an open Facebook group, and I don't *think* you need to join to be able to see the art. If you do, you can unjoin as soon as you're done if you like! As I said before, the gallery is under construction, and the picture quality on some of the images isn't stellar, so for that I apologise. This work is also a mix of very old and brand new stuff, so have fun browsing!

I'd appreciate it very much if you stopped by to look. Thank you!
A note to Mania - If you like what you see here, I was going to ask you if you would let me re-draw the site's ghost saber mascot (just for fun!) and see what you think? Thanks!

Very cool art! I love it. You have so much skill with colored pencil!

Sorry Mania - I couldn't resist...I've started on my rendition of the Ghost Saber mascot, just for giggles. At the moment it's only a sketch, with no spots, claws or whiskers, but I would very much like some feedback (or flames, I don't mind!).
Excuse the bad photo quality, the lighting in here isn't great and my camera is out of battery, so I've had to use my crappy webcam. There's a lot wrong with the sketch at this stage...for example, it's slightly cross-eyed (the pupils here are only placeholders!) and the left eye is a little off. This will be fixed though sirs and lasses!
Take a looksee -
This took me more or less half an hour, so relatively quick by my standards! Tell me what you think!

That looks amazing! Such an intense expression, I love how much the eyes pop, and the slinky yet powerful build.
Loving the rest of your gallery.

Thank you so much for all the feedback Veph, it's greatly appreciated...I'm glad you like what I do!
I thought I'd put it out there too that I'm also very much open for commissions at the moment, so if any of you would like anything, don't be shy!

Ghost Saber update! The sketch is now cleaned up and has spots...
To get a really ghostly feel, I'm going to be letting my boyfriend loose on this piece with photoshop (so he can show off his 1337 skills, as I don't do digital, except for touch-ups and for making hand drawings into web graphics!) The aftermath will vary, but SOMETHING will be posted. I may add some shading and a little colour, too. Watch this space!

Sorry for the post bombardment...but man have I had a fun day with this one! Here he is, finished, smoked, coloured and background...ed.
So here I present my finished Ghost Saber, in his home of Darkshore -
Thanks to my mister for helping me through the big long headache that is photoshop. Hope you all like!

Please can I have some feedback? Anyone?

*Gawks in amazement* Wow, that's brilliant! Both the drawing and the PhotoShop touch-up; so much detail and the eyes really stand out. It makes me think of how my ghostsaber, Myst, met her master for the first time. Good work both of you

I really do love the aspect of the game screenshot in the background merged into the drawing of the saber itself. Specially how its made see-through just like the kitty in-game. =P

I was shocked to know that you drew that in less then half an hour, and then it got a whole lot better, and then it became perfection embodied in that final picture o.o

Holy fel. xD The spots steal the show for me. They seem so well planned out, fitting perfectly!
