Uninspired, any ideas?

I have a problem. I've gotten to the point where I'm almost bored with WoW.

Went through and got my 100 mount Achieve awhile ago, that was my big driving factor for the longest time. Some of the mounts that I got while doing so include:
-All racial mounts
-Instance mounts like Raven Lord, White Swiftstrider, etc
-Karazan mount
-Rep Mounts: Talbucks, Nether Drakes, Green Proto Drake, Winterspring Frostsaber, Nether Rays, all Hippogryphs, etc.
-Tol Barad Mounts
-Most pvp mounts-but then I despise pvp.
I do really want the sandstone drake, but I've stalled at earning at about 1/4 the price. I just can't get inspired to earn more.

Was looking at getting the 150 mini-pet achieve. I just got the 100th, Nuts, the other day, but am running out of steam and funds to purchase the missing mini-compaions.

My pets are pretty set. There are no pets that I want that I do not have on my main or one of my sides.

I feel like I am in a rut and the game is not seeming as fun as it has in the past. I've been working on Riz and Sherloc off and on, but feel kinda bored. Have thought of getting on Gypsi or one of my druids or shammy-but I never really clicked with the druids or the shammy (heck I've not touched the shammy since Cata came out, her dps rotation depresses me now).

Any suggestions to liven things up-or any idea of a new goal for Shade? I want that Sandstone Drake mount, but I've gotten sick of saving up for it.

Do you have an alliance toon you want to try to do some dungeon achievements with? I know its a short project but I was trying to see if we could get a group of people to try the glory of the alliance, so far there is me with a dps/tank and another user that can fill all 3 roles. (And of course you would have to give your realid to ONE person in the group so we can invite you)

Have you tried finding any guilds that are just casual so you can have company while you play? I find that I get very bored with wow if I am alone all the time, or if I have terrible company.

I'd say don't force yourself to play if you're in a rut. :)

I would sometimes go through periods of interest decline where I would just take a break and do other things. When the urge to play WoW hit me again I'd return and have more fun since I'd missed it. I always find there's quite a lull in that period just before a major patch. With 4.3 on the horizon, maybe it's a good time to take a break and wait for it to be released?

I'm constantly rolling alts as well, though I know that might not be to everyone's tastes. Sometimes choosing a random server and starting solo can be a really fresh experience.

I should have said this too, its huuuuge for me. I've actually taken quite a few breaks (some being a year long) and it helps refresh the game a lot.

Veph speaks wisdom! :)

Something I did once, though, was to roll a Hordie (as I had no Horde characters) and play her - she was a great hit and is 85. So maybe choose a race, class or server type that you've never tried before and work "from the ground up"... that way you don't dip into your main's gold funds, and often if you pick herbing and skinning you can actually shout said main a couple of the rarer minipets by the time you hit 85. :D

But yeah, no harm in a little break once in a while, and often if you "let" yourself have a break you come back fresher and enjoy the game more afterwards.

*insert something about mages here*

So if you don't want to level a mage/another mage, perhaps you could release all your pets (minus the ones you're horribly attached to) and start a fresh stable. It seems daunting and almost scary, possibly risking having to camp for ones you want again, but it could be fun if you're into doing the challenge tames and stuff. I know someone who does that regularly. He releases Solix/Skitter on a daily basis and tames them whenever they're up if no one wants them just to do the challenge. To repeat, he only does it IF NO ONE WANTS THEM. If someone wants them, he will kindly step aside. He does it for the challenge. Or you could seek out really hard to find vanilla rare pets to tame. They may not LOOK special, but a lot of vanilla rares have long spawn timers or are difficult to find.

Hmm perhaps I might clear a few out of the stable, but not the ones that I'm too attached to.

And thanks Meggers but I won't be getting into that. I'm a paranoid sort, I dislike putting my email out there for WoW. It is one that I use nowhere else, and I would like to keep it that way. I get plenty of scam emails on my non-wow emails already, dont want them going to the email I actually use for wow.
