Well.... *this* is an interesting one. Is it a bug? Is it something else?

From a distance, everything appears normal at The Sludgeworks:

But get up close, and....

Yes, that's a wall. You can fly 'into' it in some areas, like soft spots, but you can't get through. And you'll get caught and have to back out if you do find a 'soft spot'.

Kind of looks like that part of the game data hadn't loaded in yet, but that's just my two cents. :)

Very odd. I was there yesterday in that very area (wondering if maybe Pridewing Patriarch had made it back) and didn't see that cube. I suspect it's the new Apple Store.

This (and checking Sorrow Wing's model) was the same reason I was in there, yes. ... it wasn't there? Huh. I wonder if it's just on the European realm, then. Or if it has something to do with the quest(s) I've completed. That's *interesting*!

This has happened to me a long time ago (still cata) when i was in shadowmoon valley, i went afk on my dragon in-flight and came back to see me hitting this strange blue force field at the outlands barrier that prevents you from flying into the twisting nether, i flew away and then returned and it appeared again, its size changed as the distance between it and myself changed, it was very odd o.O

This is just a thing that happens when an upcoming area hasn't loaded in yet. Can get some awesome screenshots if its in the right zone! :D

Interesting! I wonder what the 'upcoming area' in Stonetalon is, then.

thats really odd cause i got the force field at the barrier blizz put up to keep you from flying too far into the nether, it was only that one small area too, the rest of the barrier was invisible o.O

That must be a recent addition, since last time I afk-flew out into the nether it killed me. :P

it was back in January, i was doing netherwing quests, i had gone afk while auto flying to shadowmoon to do my dailies and i flew really far out into the nether, when i fly too far i always get hit with a barrier, if you fly too far downwards you die but upwards and forwards ive always found a barrier

This happens when they change something in the matrix... Did you see two identical Sambas just before?

That sounds like a random bug that's only in your end. Usually those force fields only appear if you're lagging so much that the game can't load the area you're entering in time or you're trying to leave the world altogether. (Take the Draenei isles for example - they don't exist in the Kalimdor map so if you try to fly there, you'll find nothing but an endless row of these barriers.)

A friend of mine had a vaguely similar bug on live once. For her, in a little Draenei house in the Swamp of Sorrows... Grew a tree. For her it was there just as much as any other tree in the area: she couldn't run through it. And she was the only one who could see and bump into it, it simply didn't exist to anyone else.
