Hi everyone! I'm new to hunters but am loving this alt so far and my stable is filling up fast! Here are a few of my favorite pets in their "natural habitats" lol.

White Lady: I lived in the Philippines as a child and was terrified of the The White Lady ghost that has a prominent place in their mythology. Now she is protecting me instead of scaring me!


Jameel: Means handsome in Arabic. He was my first rare and my first camp. When NPCScan went off for him I about had a heart attack. So well worth all the effort though:


Dulcineaa: She's not a rare or unique skin but I think she is one of the most stunningly beautiful cats in the game. I just love her:


Buzkilington: I knew I wanted a wasp named BuzzKill even though its so contrary to the types of names I normally give my pets. It just seems to fit this guy though. My bf came up with Buzz Killington (from Family Guy, I think). I love pvp'ing with him!


Neith: Third times a charm? After failing on two previous attempts at taming, one to my own error and the second to a NE hunter who decides to one shot me while I'm at 20% hp (due to others questing and the adds aggro'ing on me) and one second away from completing the tame, I finally snagged Solix on my third try. My bf was there to help if I needed it but I did it all on my own! I'll probably end up releasing him once I've tamed Deth and Anthriss but taming this guy was fun.


Kapre: Named after a tree ghost from Filipino mythology. A Kapre can be good or bad depending on the person he's haunting. My Kapre is amazing! I dont get all the gorilla hate. I love this guy:


Kaffir: Named after the Kaffir cat, aka the African Wildcat who is the ancestor of our domestic cats. Another looong camp (many camps to be precise) but worth it in the end. He is so sick looking!


Belladonna: I thought Ravagers were ugly until I actually tamed one. She is stunningly beautiful. I think she looks like a spikey flower. I named her Belladonna as its a blue flower that is both beautiful and deadly.


Marama: Named after a moon goddess. She's so ethereal and glowy that I had to give her some sort of Lunar name. And everyone in my guild thinks she's pretty


Crash: Did you know that a group of Rhinos is called a crash? I didn't until I was searching for names for this big guy. He's an awesome tank and I love Horn Toss! I plan to have fun in bg's with that one even though Rhino's aren't really pvp pets.


Boudicca: Named after the Celtic warrior queen. It was only fitting that such an amazing beast be given an equally amazing name. She's the color changing model from West Icecrown. Here she is in her grey form:

Gz on your tames, I relly like the names you gave your pets. I especially love the pic with your bear in winterspring, you two look perfect together!

Thanks guys! And yes, the screen shot with my bear is my favorite as well. It came out so good that I made it my desktop background

Grats on those lovely pets! And Buzz Killington is from Family Guy. He's hilarious when he makes his very few appearances.

Omg this is addicting, lol! Here's some shots of pets I'm not sure I'll keep:

Banuu: Named after an Egyptian bird god. The taming was fun, I had a priest guildie levitate me, got attacked by a DK and rogue camping him for their hunter buddy, aggro'd and fell right into the Sanctuary, NPC's killed the alliance attacking me, and by the time their hunter buddy got their I had Bantho tamed and was /laughing at them on the Sanctuary steps, lol! I'm keeping him for now just for the fun tame.


Badcop: I like the idea of this kind of cat but his model is just a little lacking for me. He's named after the nickname I call my bf (at his request) so I don't have the heart to release him yet:


Freyja: Named after the Norse Goddess who rides around in a chariot pulled by two cats. I'm not super into the spirit beasts so wasn't sure I was going to even tame her but my NPCScan goes off so I figured I'd at least try. I remove my armor, hit my deterrance/tame beast macro, am about half way through the cast when an alliance warlock watching me suddenly tries to kill her. Well he got himself one shot for his troubles. Maybe I should have named her Karma??


Vixen: The name just seemed to fit her. I'm trying her out to see how I like a Devilsaur. She does look pretty cool though:


Sancho Panza: From the classic novel, Don Quixote, Sancho was the cool little sidekick. I definitely want a hyena, I'm just not sure if Sancho is going to remain purple, he may go through several reincarnations before I find THE Sancho:

I've got magria too, I find her really pretty tbh! Much more pretty then Ankha

I love Ban'thalos! Why wouldn't you keep her? I know its a matter of taste, but how can you NOT love Banny?

Freyja is a lovely name for the kitty, though. Naming her after the goddess she pulls the chariot for. Hehe. Though in some legends her chariot is pulled by two boars, its mostly cats. A boar would be a pet to name Freyja as well. She's associated closely with boars and has a pet boar.

I love Magria (and Ankha!). Probably because I have an old nostalgic love for the riding saber cat models.

Sambas is my favorite pet - he matches Kalhoun in both hair and eye color! And I love his giant, ridiculous mane.

I didn't know Freyja was associated with boars too. Maybe when I tame a boar I'll name it Friday since that day is also named after the Goddess

Bantho just never really appealed to me, he's much too see through (is it a he or she, not sure, but I call him he) and I don't like the circular streaks he leaves with his wings. Although I do think the screen shot of he and I is really pretty. I have Olm and like him a lot more than Banthos. I think he's gorgeous! Bliz got the spectral model right with him for sure! I just need to get a good screen shot of Olm and I'll post it.

Magria is my all time favorite spirit beast. I have her and skoll and Loque, but I find I'm always running with her.

I just released Karkin. I named him Fiddler while I had him. I just can't take a crab tank seriously. He's a cute little model but I never really wanted him and only tamed him while waiting for Skoll to spawn and the hunter who was trying to tame him quit and logged out.

Oow, It's such a cute little one! But you'll only need to have the pets you want.

I agree! He really is cute. Blizz did a great job on him. He's just not right for me now.

Friday: I ended up retaming Gondria after releasing her a while ago. Got to match one of my transmog outfits ya know! I named her Friday, the day named after the Goddess Freyja. I figured it was fitting since my Magria is named Freyja.

I have Terrorpene, renamed Daredevil, and thought I was going to end up releasing him until I got a good look at him. He's pretty cool looking so he'll hang around for a while. There's something just a little off about such a flashy showy turtle. IMO they're sup to be understated looking. But he's growing on me.

So I said I'd never tame a demon dog because I strongly believe they should be warlock pets not hunter pets. Since rolling this hunter and having so much fun with the pets I'm beginning to feel kind of jipped on my warlock main. I wish locks could tame demons, and maybe even elementals, the way hunters tame beasts. Anyway, I tamed this guy just to get a better look at him and then I saw him do this hopping thing when he was idle...exactly like my real flesh and blood dog does when he's happy or excited....which is all the time lol. I couldn't resist so I'm keeping him and I named him Angelface, my nickname for my dog, Angel. Plus Angel is a Pit Bull and before they get to know him some people think he's a demon, so its quite fitting
