New pet types in cat

This is really a topic to just like talk about what beasts you would liek to see be tameable in the new Xpack and maybe talk about what skills would be good for them etc.
For example I would really love to see hydras as pets and not exotic ones cos im not BM but i can see how they would more likely be exotic.

Hydras: Poisonous spit. Each head has a different variety of poison. One for a DoT, one for a snare and one for mortalstrike. Exotic.
Clefthoove and Kodobeasts: In the Rhino family.
Stags: Headbutt. The stags antlers pierce the armor of the enemy, working like a faerie fire, and it also knocks the enemy down.
Nerubian Flyer: Snaring webs. Powerful snare. Exotic.
Murlocs: Mrrrgllll! Annoys the enemy, causing it to flee in fear. Exotic. Can only be tamed by gnome hunters.

I am quite partial to the need to tame both hydras and giraffes. I think it would be badass awesome to see a Hunter walking through the world with a giraffe next to him/her.
But, all in all, I don't think we necessarily need more or different pets to tame, per se. I would eagerly like to see them create more and better skins (and use some of the ones you can't/couldn't tame... like the Warp Stalkers) for the current variety of pets available.

Stags. My draenei has dreamed to tame a stag ever since she was a wee one exploring Azuremyst for the first time. Hmm. Cunning, perhaps. I don't particularly see them as a ferocity family.
I hope hydras become tameable too. I don't particularly want to go tame another, but I think so many people would love one that it makes sense. They should definitely be tenacity.
I would like them to make skins tameable that aren't, like the blue magehunter wolves in Nexus and the many, many dragonhawks we can only dream about... I don't see why they aren't tameable in all these skins. It'd create more variety, and isn't that what Blizz wants anyway?

*nod* I have my slime, but I don't want to be the only person who can have that pleasure. That's why I included hydras, too, although I can't stand mine.

I want to be able to tame the tripods in Zangarmarsh. Hellboars would be fun too. Also want to see non-cobra looking serpents, like the pythons in WC.

I'd love to see the wyvrens in Stonetalon, tripods in Zangar, the hydras, and the demon boars become tamable. Not to mention the giraffes, zhevra, kodo, stags, and slime, too.

I have given this some thought over the years, and have come up with a few for each family. These are just beasts that are already out there but aren't tameable. I haven't put a ton of thought into completely new pets, maybe I'll think on that and come back to this some other time.
Ferocity
Pterrordax: Terrifying Screech, damage and short fear
Mana Wyrm: Mana Blast, damage and drains mana
Cunning
Basilisks: Crystal Gaze, dazes the target (basically a stun)
Stags: Shadow Hoof, damage + short -% healing debuff
Tenacity
Thunder Lizards: Lizard Lightning, damages up to three targets (so we don't have to use bears for tanking all the time)
Shoveltusks: Headbutt, damage and AP debuff

I hope there will one day be a way to have sharks as pets.. just imagine. Also, I'd like Talbuks, Giraffes, some sort of actual African Rhino (So not hairy), and possibly a deep BM talent that allows the taming of dragon-type mobs. (Don't you just want to be able to tell Onyxia what to do?)

Hydras, Stags, Drakes and whelps, Shoveltusks, penguins, Mammoths, Kodos, girraffes and zhevras are what I want to see. Most specifically Hydras.

Oh yeah, basilisks would be AWESOME! Perfect for my new goblin hunter!
I'm really hoping that raptor concept art turns into real raptors on the Echo Isles (I don't know if that's what you mean, Cowmuflage, but that's what came to mind when you said "with spines on them"). Rafa would get a brutha, that's fo sho!
