Just posted about this in the other one, heh. It's not as bad as I thought (assuming we still get all our other key abilities, and hopefully even focus fire, and all that), and I actually really like some of them. LOVE the idea of turning people into beasts
They also said we MIGHT get to choose the specs for our pets too

I could make Squiggles actually a dps pet if they do*hugs fluffeh worm*

Okay. The level 30 tier is AMAZING. I love that we'll get to choose which of those three abilities we get!
....and I just saw the level 45 tier. Holy. Cow. Okay, "speccing" is going to be fun.
And transmorph traps are brilliant. Period. I don't care if it's logical or whatever else. Unique awesomeness. Although black ice is tempting, omg. -_-

Is that for all 3 specialization's, just one or a mix up all of all of them ? I was looking at the druid ones, and they seem to be mixed up as some of them made no sense if you where a healer for example.

Yeah. Pretty much what I gathered is all the "You MUST have this as ____ spec" abilities are just plain class/spec abilities that you'll automatically get while leveling. Talents are meant to be FAR more customizable, such that no one should ever feel like they HAVE to take a certain one, and are, yes, a mix of what used to be abilities specific for other specs.
I was a little worried, but as long as I don't lose too many of my BM abilities, I actually think I prefer this system

But any final decision will have to be made after we actually see it in action. I went for that 12 month mega pack thing... So maybe I'll check out the beta and see how it feels then.
Speaking of.. just a quick question, have they mentioned anywhere when beta/release is anticipated for MoP?

They said that our "core"/signature abilities won't be gone. But they also won't be talents. They'll just be what they always should have been. Core abilities that we'll automatically get as we level.
So my guess is yes, they're still there, they just won't be talents. They'll just pop up in our spellbook when we hit the right level.

According to how the system is supposed to work, Bestial Wrath and Beast Mastery (talents) are now just abilities given to the Beastmastery Specialization that you can choose upon level 10. Former talents like this (that are basically "core" abilities for that spec) are now just 'given' to that spec.
Talents are now something available to ALL Hunters, and are supposed to basically "pick your flavor" essentially. Like when you get to a new talent level, you'll get 3 talents to choose from. The 3 talents will be similar in their utility, but the only difference is which one you'd prefer to have.

I feel we got jipted on the last tier

I was thinking something more like a Rexxar-ish ability (I know you are all waiting to pull 3 pets out at a time

), a super rapid fire (like you see ten million arrows/bullets flying from the Hunter's weapon that end up doing something like Volley used to or look like), or even a super trap that does lets say an AoE fire spell that will catch any one who steps on it (or over it) on fire and do damage over time (even if they aren't standing in it). Just improving traps seems weak (buuut, turning a mage/shaman into a beast seems like so much fun too

). Anyways thats my thoughts on that.

There's your problem. Don't take trade chat seriously.

What I see with this 'talent tree' is the possibility for our pets to choose abilities from all 3 of their specs. From what I see, it looks rather simple to add to pets and allow them to be customized for any situation their Hunter chooses. One problem I'm seeing though is that this build looks a lot more min-max friendly, lowering freedom to a 1 out of 3 choice every 15 leves initially, then even more freedom loss once the 'best spec' is found.

They did mention at some point that changing your talents would be on par with changing your glyphs, which might be where the thing about losing dual spec came from. That said, I didn't hear anyone specifically mention dual spec.
Then again, I fell asleep right after the talents panel.

The whole point of this change is to remove any "best spec" issues. Most of the talents fill the exact same role, only in slightly different ways. Personally, I think it'll increase customization and all that. I'm sure some people will still min/max, but I wouldn't think it would get to the point of "Omg kick bob cause they picked ___ instead of ____" (which is where it almost is now)
As it is now.. Sure, we get a "choice" every other level... But it's not REALLY a choice. You KNOW that by the end you're probably going to end up with the same, or nearly the same as everyone else. I'd rather have less times to choose, and actually be able to make a very interesting, and meaningful choice without being able to say "Oh, I'll just get that other cool talent in 2 levels, no worries"

How am I supposed to choose between the level 45 and 90 powers?! D:
Lets see... do I want to zoom around really fast, be immune for 3 seconds, or heal myself?
Do I want to have unlimited ice traps, zoom around while enemies are slowed, or turn people into beasts?
You see my predicament?
