So I checked Armory out because I had about 7 to 8 name ideas that I wouldn't mind using for my future Pandrens. Sadly, every single damned one was already taken on my server, sigh.

Anyway, made me wonder, am I the only nutter who has already started considering names for characters?

Checked about 8 names already as well, all taken.

the name I want is taken. Sango.

Should I go with Sangou or Saango?

Stupid no accents....

im gonna have to think up names too hmmm... to the english-chinese translator!

Edit: Afiak it all comes out in their fancy brush strokes (i wish i did well in mandarin class.. if i did well in the classes id probably be able to this easy >_>;;)

I want to name mine Chi Chi, after the panda from Life's a Zoo. Even if that name's taken, I've been quite creative with alternative spellings in the past. I'm not worried.

"Shonmao" - "bear-cat", the Chinese word for panda - doesn't seem taken anywhere...

...too bad my subscription is lapsed so I can't go in and actually reserve it for myself.

Mmmm i just realized, if i make a char now with the name i want and it has accents.. i gotta pay to change it into a panda >_>;; lol erp a derp, yea its gonna suck not having those accents, especially because there are people who use them for real words that have the accent like Daemon (i seem to be incapeable of creating the 'ae' combination right now.., along with pretty much every alt+code anything) which is Demon usually (in greek its to describe supernatural beings between mortals and gods)

Yeah. I hope they dont do that.

you dont have to swich it i would make a toon to reserve the name then when the pandas come out delete the toon and make the panda quick thats what i did for my worgen even tho i dont play on her now

No, by the time the pandas come out, if you delete the first character you'd be unable to use the accent letters on the pandaren creation screen since it will be in effect then.

nono ^^;;, if i want to give them a name with an 'accent' aka alt+codes, its gonna be completely impossible to create a character with an alt+code letter in it when the expansion comes out ive only heard they are gonna do that so i dont know how strongly blizz feels about it first hand but it looks like they're continuing through with it ._.

Look into various naming cultures often grouped with Chinese. All of my characters are already Tibetan names, really enjoy the language. And the yaks.

After trying several names, all of which were taken, I went with Daxiongma. Da xiong mao is the Chinese phrase for Panda. (Bear cat)

I wonder if anyone else is going to make a Pandaren Rogue called "Haru".

Also, reserved my Pandaren Monk's name on Moonglade (my main server) - Xiahong.

After I saw that it was taken I joked wither my bro that I was just going to name it Bob instead of fight it (<-- most likely already taken as well anyway lol).

My brother and I already have list of names and I'm sure it will only grow in the months to come.

So nope not the only one by a long shot.

Not totally sure what I want at the moment, but in the mean time I've reserved "Lanhua" (Orchid) And "Chensi" (Meditate)

I don't think I'll give my Pandaren a Chinese name, but I might use that as a theme for my minipet names.
