Strange subspecies/genetics/hybrids thoughts?

More or less an recently newfound interest of mine.

I always did like to look up strange genetics like the white tigers (This is wrong to exsit sadly, the cats are inbreed for this to happen), Golden tabby tiger, White lion ((Looks albino but still has its colored eye genes..)), The black lion, Black tiger ((Both of those Are still really strange to me)), and theres much more iv'e been meaning to research

Some subspecies seem also quite strange to me that I like- For instance the Kermonde spirit bear. Its a subspecies of black bear only found in north america
then theres also stuff like the cinnamin bear, which is red but is also a black bear. I think one of my favorite subspecies is a cryptic one actually known as the maltese tiger. Its suppose to be some form of a blueish greyish tiger.

Then of course theres the weird hybrids like Tigons, Ligers, Coywolfs, Beefalos, Zebriod and alot of other weird things

Im just wondering whats your guys take on all these weird things? your favorites?

They're very interesting to read about. Emperor Cheetahs are very neat as well, but my favorite is also the Maltese Tiger.

It's a real shame about how White Tigers are being so abused by zoos. It's really just not okay to sell normal cubs to the fur market because you're trying to get a white one, just for popularity… (They're also deformed, they often have deformed skulls that can cause them pain throughout their lives.)

Some of these subspecies and colour morphs are breathtakingly beautiful, though I'm kind of disgusted at how humans take advantage of it and inbreed animals with serious health defects just to get something that looks pretty :\

If something can be bred with no health effects, I understand, but usually these animals wind up with serious health problems.

Well, the north american black bear has colors to it more then just black. Its not so much as a hybrid, just random colors that come up. I live in Colorado, where black bears abound. I have seen red, cinnimon, blonde, brown, black, and just recently a black one that had an odd white spot from its shoulders that ran back to almost its withers. Looked like someone dumped bleach on it.

Also, I just heard some people talking about a black red fox that has been hanging around the area where I work. I want to get some pictures of it. There are black coyotes out here as well, but Ive heard thats from a coyote and a domestic dog doin the naughty. :headbang:

Yeah black bears can be like rainbows sometimes
in non- rainbowy colours
I know theres a bear somewhere that has been mistaken for a yeti due to its thick bluey colored fur

and on the white tiger subject, yeah im going to have to agree with the breeding of them. luckily I heard that white tigers will stop being bred in north america

None of those hybrids are really weird. I mean it would be weird if it was something not related to something like a cat goat. But 99% of those are useally made by humans or have something to do with them like the Geep that a farmer found last week. One of his sheep had sex with a wild goat.
Seeing as most of the the animals that make these crossbreeds don't useally live in the same place you don't useally get them in the wild and if you did they proberly would die pretty easyily Ligers for one have that growth gene problem that would hinder the ability to hide! and then theirs the not being able to breed thing most hybrids have.

Maltese tiger if it did exist it would not be a subspecies it proberly would only be a random mutant. A colourvaration does not necessary mean it will be a subspecies like Black panthers as a example are not ( seeing as 3 cats can be called that and their all just colour mutants). That's a pet peeve of mine alot of people don't get that.

Geeps or the good old Mule are my fav seeing as they don't have as many problems most hybrids have IE Ligers.....

EDIT:Don't get me started on RP people who have hybrids haveing babies.....
