"What happened to Arthas's body? What happened to Illidan's body? What about Kael'thas?"
"It is likely we will bring Illidan back, not so much for Kael'thas, he already had his come back. Arthas's body is somewhere but we don't really know where"
Can just see the cries of "REHASH REHASH" travelling thru the forums!

It's lost in the twisting nether somewhere.
I just hope he doesn't end up in my mailbox.

That's no fun. :/ "Black Temple was merely a setback!" <---better, especially with Kael'thas dead for real

Peronaly i would like to see Illidan make a comback, but at the same time not so much >.< I think that his warden was far more evil/insane then he was. (and hope we get to facestab her sometime soon) Yeah he was a messed up badguy but he had his moments and i felt rather sorry for him. and in the end he wasnt even the final boss of the xpack. So to sum things up- i would LOVE to see more of illidan (perhaps a story of redemption- i can dream right?) but not as the next big boss. Been there done that and the poor guy needs a break.

If they have a REALLY good reason for him coming back, I won't mind since Illidan is a character I love. But don't just say he was ressurected or something. >.<

When the pressure of being Lich King is too much for Bolvar snaps he'll raise Illidan to be his pet scourged-demon-hunter-night-elf-demon-guy.
For the revamp of Northrend. Or something.

with all interaction that follows after defeating him, its very clear that blizz outright ensured his demise.. imo such a important character like him (i absolutely love the War of the Ancients Trilogy), it was awful how blizz took him down, they should of let him make a come back instead of kael'thas and have Rommath (kael's most trusted advisor) turn evil and try to bring Kil'jaeden through the sunwell. Blizz didnt do Illidan justice but unless they change the ending of the encounter, i forsee no ressurection for him

I'd prefer he didn't come back. He had a tragic life of bad choices and in the end karma was a bitch. Sure, Blizz coulda given him a bigger better demise, but that wouldn't have been so as tragic, and tragic is Illidan.

I haven't seen anyone -complain- (perhaps not approving about it but what I've heard/seen for the most part is excitement) about that so far.. I mean, who DOESN'T love or at least like Illidan? I know SO many people who hated that he was a main boss. I would LOVE it if perhaps we didn't actually kill him and he somehow escaped after we took his stuff. And then after being in hiding for a while he somehow gets with the few demon hunters out in the world of Azeroth and more people are taught to be demon hunters (this could be at a time when the Burning Legion is like "sup bitches" all over again and we really need some more demon hunters) and then demon hunter playable class in WoW? Please? :3
Or some other crazy stuff like he died but was brought back in some awesome way... <.< And gets a better model. >.> (the face of his demon model weirds me out..heh)

^ This
Plus Blizz admitted a long time ago they screwed up Illidan and Kael'thas big time.

I'd like to see him redeemed, or at the very least, see Malfurion get some closure. I hope he doesn't come back as an enemy to the death again.

He's a demon.
We could most likely be encountering his soul or something.

He wasn't 100% an enemy to begin with. Malfurion wasn't exactly innocent in his actions. His lore is kinda complex.

I hope it's just as a spirit, because some people are better left dead.

malfurion is one of the greatest jerks warcraft has ever known. i'd hoped an emerald dream expansion would reveal him as a twisted corrupted freak that we would have to slaughter.
shame.

Oh he knows his mistake. Illidan forgave him long before the Black Temple shpeel. Illidan and Malfurion buried the hatchet, so to speak.

Young Night Elf reincarnation that, in a later patch, will teach people how to be demon hunters? That's how I hope Illidan comes back. I mean, they kind of need to just give us that class, what with all the ridiculous implications they had with Cata (IE, that one hidden quest in the auberdine area).

This comment made me cry...

I feel like back then the times were different and more old fashioned. I mean shit, they had such TERRIBLE times with demons and Illidan went and turned himself into one. I'm not saying what Malfurion did by banishing him was right but I feel if Illidan came back today Malfurion would react differently. We're in a different time now and it seems the demon hunters are going to become more and more accepted as time goes on. I dunno perhaps my shared love for both of the Stormrage brothers is making be biased but that's truly how I see it. ^^
