Just had to post it. I love planes, and although this one's not your typical, sleek sexy fighter jet, I love the thing. My favorite YTube comment was, "... Look! They built a plane on top of that gun... "

I think it's both amazing and sad at the ingenuity man puts into objects, created for the destruction of another man. I will admit those jets are beautiful, I've always loved fighter jets like that (though I admit to knowing little to nothing about them), but still.....I always feel like our creativity and intelligence could be used towards more beneficial things. I guess that's just the way of the world though.

Yeah, the A-10 is a seriously arse kicking piece of machinery. It looks like what a warplane should look like and it delivers.

I love the A-10 for different reasons than most. I abhor senseless violence, but if my family or friends are in trouble all I'm saying is, that suckers what I'd like to jump in and bring the pain to the baddie's lol... It's a guy thing I'm sure. It's the caveman coming out in us...

Completely agreed... Just the usual reference is " Human Race " ... Where I live, those ideals get debated a lot...


Cracks open a text book on Biology- (points finger) See! One species! Owww and really one race.


I always enjoyed a Biologist on PBS one night years ago. He compared the human race to dogs. There's bunches of different breeds, but they're all classified as " Dogs "... LoL...

They have some based near where I live, which I have always liked because it means I get to see them flying around fairly often. They've been among my favorite aircraft since I was a kid.

Forget missiles, give me a gun that's bigger than a Volkswagen and spews depleted uranium slugs the size of a coke bottle.

I'm such a weird guy when it comes to planes... I like the rugged , tough , nasty looking one's lol... And, I love prop planes the most. Corsair, Thunderbolt, Hellcat, Spitfire, omg... I could go on and on... Jets are nice, but something about the engine sound of those old planes...

As far as prop planes go I'm a Mustang fan, but my favorite is probably the P-38 Lightning. It's just so different than any of the other fighters of that era.

P-38 was a test bed for so many thing's. No one really thought it would be worth a damn as a dogfighter. Boy, were they surprised... One of the few prop planes that could accidentally break the sound barrier and sometimes survive the experience...

I'd have to say, that if I had to pick only one from that era, it'd be the Corsair... Not the toughest, or fastest, but I love the looks of that old warbird...

I don't know much about jets, and yeah they cool, but....

If you hear them flying over your apartment all day, most every day of the week, they lose some of their appeal ...
