Tag-bugging is that that annoying bug where a mob is considered tagged by another player despite not being attacked by anything, and thus offers no reward when killed. We also know just how much poor Anthriss gets killed by daily-goers in Molten Front. Indeed I've now only seen her alive twice in all my time being there, the first time she was brutally killed by a pair of paladins while another hunter was corpse-running in attempt to tame.

Well this second time Anthriss was tag-bugged. I can only assume this was the only reason she was still alive. Now I've had both Kirix and Solix, though we didn't click as much as I'd hoped and let them go, and I've never been that huge a fan of spider pets anyway. But something twigged and the next thing I knew I was swimming in lava with a giant yellow spider looming over me and red hearts floating about. And now she's at my side. For once, tag-bug was useful.



Now for a name

Anthriss shares the same skin as the common spiders by the spire. Because of this, most Hunters have zero interest in him, which leaves it open to usually facing certain death at the hands of other players, Hunters and non-Hunters alike. Though if you ask me, he's not worth risking a 25g repair bill to loot a 25g vendor item.

However, I can say that it's very nice to see that Anthriss can still handle itself sometimes. It's so funny to see clueless players attack it, only to get EATEN by the giant spider... BANANA! and sweet, a friend of my had the happen, only it was with Skitter (who on my main's sever is more killed then anthriss is. it's sad)

Anthriss is gorgeous! My favorite of the MF spiders. Even Deth takes a backseat to her! Grats on your tame.

Anthriss is never up for more than 10 minutes on my server. Its just a known fact and most people who have wanted her have given up or tamed a common yellow. Solix is second most killed. All it takes is one druid keeping it rooted until its energy is out then bye bye Solix. Alliance druids like to do this SO MUCH. A few times, they've accidentally helped horde hunters tame him this way, after which they usually /rude or /spit on the person.
