The World of Warcraft: Official Magazine has a free sample article online: a Cataclysm Preview. This may be old news, but I just ran across it this morning. Pretty interesting.

Blizzard has also posted a preview of Mount Hyjal on the Cataclysm site.

And finally, in case you missed it earlier, High Tinker Mekkatorque has announced that "Operation: Gnomeregan" will start "soon".

Edit: And now Blizzard has added a preview of Vashj'ir as well.

NOOOO!! You beat me to it yet again. Not fair!

I happened to be loading the front page of the WoW site (looking for the page on faction transfers and mounts) just as it went up, so far as I can tell. Just happenstance ... nothing personal.

The Hyjal preview has some tidbits about a wolf god, a winged god, and a turtle god. Let's hope they have a lot of tameable followers.

And that new Wallpaper is just... awesome.

I realized one thing just now:

It makes me kind of a happy custmer that Blizzard actually updates the graphics, adds more details and stuff like that and yet, you look at the screenshots and you feel comfy, it's like you come home, even if someone rearranged the furniture while you were gone.

You know, even when they redesign the whole thing, it keeps its style. It looks familiar. We're not gonna log in after the big bang and say "OK, let's get used to this.". We're gonna say "Oh god, look what happened!".

It's really cool, I think. I tip my hat to Blizzards art director, whoever he might be, as all three stages of WoW (Vanilla, TBC and WotLK) have different people listed.

Gosh I can't wait to get doing screenies in Mount Hyjal it looks so beautiful. Even if with each expansion you need a better computer sadly...but I'd wish for one thing, update the older models but that might be happening since the old content is getting the renewing.

I like the graphics they do look different. I wish they would reduce amount tiny objects in the area. I love to know how they plan to fit everyone in the major cities. There wont be enough room for everyone. Maybe Ironforge because it was a larger open space area. The horde on my server wont have a issues. We outnumber them by like 5-1

I just hope this new faction of druids have some fancy mounts like a new type of hippo or something. Maybe a green drake mount finally

With Ysera joining us in this fight (or at least that's how it sounded), I would imagine there will be. FINALLY!!! The green and red dragonflights are my favorites.

yeah im trying to get one drake of each flight i have got a red one and a blue one and a white one (even tho thats not a flight) and a bronze one (both drake and time lost!).

Blizzard just updated the Cataclysm site with a preview of Vashj'ir, and I am in awe. It looks absolutely stunning.

I'm stunned by that picture. Yet I still remember the disappointment that was Azjol-Nerub. They claim we'll get underground zones, they give us some fancy photos.

Guess what we get? Two instances and a hole under ICC.
Tough they have confirmed Vashj'ir as an actual zone, I still fear the implementation. I don't want to swim up every 280 seconds. I don't want to carry airpacks in my bags. An I definately don't want neverending breath.

Is it just me, or are they suddenly tossing information at us as fast as they can?

It's not just you. I've noticed that they have been giving out a ton of info on the expansion lately. For sure sign there gearing up for beta.
