Why wouldn't they? That's a freaking huge amount of work to develop a brand new model to be thrown away after the first use.

What Wain said. Seriously, it takes a lot of time and effort to create these gorgeous models; why shouldn't Blizzard get extra mileage out of them?

QFT, Wain. Mount rehashes arent bad. Most of them you'd never notice unless you were really looking for it or are very pessimistic. XD

i dont mind rehashs i think alot of them are quite nice but this mount is awesome and my new goal in life is to get it

Indeed! So rehashes arent bad in the slightest.

I just swapped between a dragonhawk and a Nether Ray and my mind was blown.

Wouldn't mind more mounts with this skeleton.
It looks cool. Wouldn't be surprised if we got basic colours in MoP of this beast.

God... I finally got WMV working right again and after looking at all of the animations... I SERIOUSLY NEED this mount. I have just absolutely fallen in love. I'd trade Ashes of Al'ar for this any day if I could.

Ooh, Mia's right. The actual flight animation has proper wing propulsion, in the video they only showed the idle one which has that odd backwards motion.

It has a swim animation too that's really neat, it's a side meander similar to serpents.

And did you see the mount special?? IT DOES A BACK FLIP!!!! Gimme! /beg

How and/or where did you find it in the WMV? I must know.

If you have the PTR downloaded and updated, just make sure WMV is set to read the PTR files rather than your actualy WoW folder. It's in there under chromaticdragon and such.

Ah, no wonder I couldn't find it then. I haven't updated the PTR in a while. Thanks, I'll have to do that now.

I really hope this isn't the rogue legendary mount, this is unlike the staff legendary in that it's a unique model, i really don't want to see rogues on it knowing i'll never get one.

Wow.. that looks like a very spastic mount to ride. His flight animation is very fast and even the back flip /mountspecial. It looks like a sped up Dragonhawk the way he "swims" through the air. I could totally see people getting "sea sick" while riding it. No ground animations yet, I see.

Nah it's not. Rogue's dont get a mount -per se. They just get wings.

Which, to clarify last I heard, aren't even a mount at all, but rather a slowfall:

The wings also appear on the combat proc as well, but unless it's been changed rogues do not get a legendary mount, wings or dragon or otherwise. :P
