Timeline Speculation

Anyone got a speculating idea of when MoP will take place? Like how long after Deathwing is skinned.

My thoughts are probably maybe a few months to a year tops.

I'm not sure.. I would imagine at least half a year. Unless some crazy interesting things go on with the horde plot wise. From what I've seen the horde is probably almost the least united it has been. Only started really experiencing horde lore, but Sylvanas is going against the horde's wishes with trying to find a way to sustain the forsaken. People in general seem to be disliking Hellscream. Add that on top of just having to rebuild after a cataclysm and resources spent fighting the twilight cults, and Deathwing... I imagine it would take some time to rebuild armies and morale before any sane person would start a war.

Of course... one of the factions could also think to deal a blow before the other recovers from the Deathwing war and cataclysm... Hmm.. In that case, it could be any time.

Yeah half a year seems okay.

I think it's going to take more than half a year for me to reverse my opinion of Wrynn! :)

If you ask me, I hope Garrosh attacks Theramore shortly after the defeat of Deathwing. Maybe then the Alliance/Wrynn will be able to capitalize on the fact that the Horde all seems to dislike their current Warchief.

If Garrosh is willing to attack a major Alliance settlement, AFTER sustaining a decent amount of peace within LK and Cata, AND with Thrall and most of the Horde not supporting his efforts, then I'll gladly support Wrynn even more than I already do.

You know it's fake, right? I can't tell if you're sarcastic. I mean, not only the list, the whole picture is fake, look at his sig.

I don't think that's true. I strictly remember something similar to this, but I thought it was more around the 'rhapture' that was supposed to happen 'recently'

i can find the "real" one from a disgruntled GM, but either way its more of a "hey this is interesting" instead of "hey this is a fact". Take it for what its worth, its interesting how far ahead some people have thought up of the zones / expansions etc back in 2009.

I can tell you whole story behind that list. Wanna hear it? No? Here I go anyway.

This list was originally posted on Allakhazam (sp?) during Wrath alpha/beta by somebody claiming to have found it in some leftover development files, apparently before tBC was released. A whole lot of people took it seriously because they haven't seen the Wrath zones before (unlike the poster, who was in beta) and once Wrath was released, they saw those zones fit so many people went "OMG! REAL!" Until Cata this list was OK, and you could find a lot of people believing in it, including the owner of an official fansite which I'm a semi-staff member on. But then Cata was released, and most of the zones did not fit to the next expansion on the list, so the original poster went "shit, ok, too late" and admitted, in the very same thread (which was kept alive during the years in between by the 'worshippers'). However, some people still believed the list is real (despite being, you know, wrong, at this point), so people started trolling and creating pictures to "prove" it - like the 'shop job above.
Now, another expansion that doesn't fit the list, yet some people still believe in it.

Hey I'm a full believer in the Holy trinity (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades) and some people think I'm "odd".

Thanks for the backstory though, I always wondered about that. Still I find it interesting..... But Pandas are in there! It must be true!

No?? :-P

It's not exact, but you gotta say this person is pretty decent at predicting things! :P

Well, the thing is, the list does make sense from a development point of view. Anything leaked from alpha-wrath would have some info for Cata and Panda, but you would expect things to change over the years. No way would the list be perfect if it was real.

My question is... if it is fake, where did the creator get the info on the Cata zones? Many are correct. Are there enough clues in the lore to suggest those? While not competely correct, the list is close enough to be believable.

Unless all those zones are mentioned in the lore, I would suspect that whoever created it actually had some inside information. Things are close enough that I would suspect it was created by someone who saw one of the hidden whiteboards that Blizz scribbles a lot of stuff on.
